J'ai dû entendre l'intégrale de notre chère Floflo une bonne quinzaine de fois, puis également les films d'époque sur elle, retrouvés dans un grenier. Fascinant. Je ne m'en lasse pas et je comprends que tous ses CD soient épuisés à chaque fois en peu de semaines! Il n'est donné qu'à peu de chanteurs lyriques d'être encore connus et appréciés trois quart de siècle après leur disparition: Georges Thill, Renata Tebaldi, Adelina Pati, Mado Robin, Florence Jenkins, qui certes les fait palir à la simple comparaison mais qu'elle n'aurait certainement pas méprisés et là qui elle aurait reconnu du talent (inférieur au sien, certes: mais c'est là une donnée objective contre laquelle on ne peut rien: de fait aucun d'eux n'aurait pu chanter comme elle; on peut s'en tenir assuré:.) En plus d'avoir beaucoup d'argent elle avait un bon coeur et donnait largement aux oeuvres de charité de l'époque...Et même elle offrait des auditions aux pauvres. C'est vous dire!

the guy who plays Don Basilio is my favourite.I have never seen a Don Basilio with such a light voice but it is still great.

This is definitely my favorite version of this opera. Not so much from the singing (it's still good of course, like 8.5/10 overall I'd say, but there are versions that just sound better to me), but I love everything else about it. From the costume designs to the humorous acting to the change of the color for everyone's costumes (from black/white to bright colors) in the end. My favorite here is definitely Raimondi's Basilio, he was very entertaining.
