Great tips Jess! One thing I do if I want to capture moving objects like people or cars or dogs is to snap a quick photo with my phone just in case, and if they do move I can still sketch them in using the shapes from the photo and maybe the colors from other people in the scene so that it still has a realistic feel! Loved how this sketch turned out!

Being medically disabled with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and mostly confined to my bed, I with I could go out to do urban sketching. I love the pink building and the Italy vibes seem dead on. You did a fantastic job capturing the likeness and sweetness of the cafe. If there's one place to do art, it's a cafe. I'm actually a little surprised the new owner didn't ask to buy the painting to hang on the wall inside. A lot of cafes even commission artwork for people by hanging their work up and posting that it's for sale. Well, it would be hard to give up anyway and it seems it all worked out exactly the way it was meant to. You're a fabulous artist. I am dying to break out the paint but I worry about the mess doing it on my lap in bed. I'm about to pull out my sketchbook now thanks to the inspiration I got from watching you paint. Beautiful work, as usual!
You can visit nearly anywhere in the world via your smartphone, iPad or laptop. I realize it’s nit the same. But sketching a wonderful pub via webcam is infinitely better than “wish I cd urban sketch but I can’t, I’m stuck in bed”.
Put on some Irish pub music, grab a room -temperature Guinness and immerse yourself in Irish (or Dutch, Hawaiian, Asian, etc.) culture for a few hours.

I am inexperienced in drawing but i always wanna try and learn new things, but i don't know where to start and that makes me be afraid of starting. You gave me inspiration to just go for it and see where it takes me with this video. My town has many nice places to draw, so i'll just start doing that and see how it will evolve into.

I also miss the feeling I got when I went to downtown for Urban Sketch Tour. I still remember the kid coming to me and saying “It looks so cool. I want to draw like that too”. I was like Awwn and I felt so happy to meet him.
This style is more carefree which is quite different from your past detailed painting and I simply love this as well🥰🥰🥰
