Came too late in the season! Come earlier when there's more snow. Guarantee more features.
Bear doesn’t install too many features in late spring. In January or February the whole resort is a one huge park!!! Head to mammoth resort one day! You will love it there! The best resort, best park, best snow and best people working there!!! Have fun at the night session!!!!

December-Feb there are more features out.

As a Cali native the reason why there aren’t many features is that the mountain isn’t long for 1 and the snow is very limited so it would be hard to lower everything running with the constantly changing conditions.

Chair 9 park plaza or chair 5s hills bottom is most that you can get for features .
I'm not the best or cocky and I feel like we're on the same level so if you're ever back, I'd be more than happy to have a day trip with you man!

That’s so sick man! It’s awesome
Bear has been totally different this year. Way less features and far smaller. It may simply be a snow issue, but flat out, this season is different. Then again, they have always grouped their features further apart at Bear, but again, this year lots of stuff seems to be missing from the hill. The sister mountain, Snow Summit, does more of a traditional park over on WestRidge, where more features are grouped together tightly.

As a local bear is know for jumps and mt high know for rails and boxes
I would recommend Northstar / Mammoth if you are looking for a park that will impress you.
They do northstar every year they were taking a break this year

@@va4114 Bro no way... Boreal puts all their time into jumps and rails. They have a 60 foot money booter aswell. And their half pipe is amazing. Their peace park alone is better than what northstar has. Northstar is good but for park alone... boreal is better

Just went for a 2 day sesh 4 days ago, there’s a few secret jibs hidden after a tree/log line in between the bunny and lift 5. It’s a picnic table top and a metal rainbown box.
This was the last place I ever snowboarded, almost 10 years ago. I'm excited to go snowboarding again next month, its been far too long!

You should check out the resort snow summit its really close to there on a storm gets good powder and in Jan through feb has a good park just beware that on weekends everywhere in those two resorts it will be crowded

Bear was slow this season because of Corona. They had limited capacity and they did not host any events. Besides the fact that it's late in the season, that's the main reason.

Yea Bear's regular season ends in February lol. Spring slushies come pretty early here cuz it's always warm and sunny 🙄 unless you get cold temps and get there when the lifts open

Early season bear has a crap ton of features. Sister mountain snow summit has more right now.
Totally agree on the features, wish bear had more jibs and random S,M,L features all over to fully hone my skills.
as someone who rides bear mainly for the past 8 years, the park is nowhere what is used to be, i can pin the change after the el nino year 4 years back. granted this is during season end so it's slushy and speed is hard to keep but it still holds true that it's not what it once was(feature lines on feature lines). part of bear mountains change and to me downfall is due to just becoming popular amongst non park crowds so they started spacing features farther and farther apart to prevent possible injuries from novice boarders and skiiers. this is why i always recommend new or novice riders to go to summit as its better suited to that beginner style
4 years ago? Was that not around the time Bear and Summit got bought by Alterra Mountain Company? That could have also been the downfall, new ownership
Hey man, While bear does have some trash, the spot you showed is prime spot for keeping your drinks cold between runs, most of those bottles are probably just waiting to be drank.

Snow Summit is good too. I prefer Summit since I don't ride much park.

Snowboard camp is still on my bucket list though. Injuries are healing as I "carefully" continue to
ride and progress without getting wrecked again before the season ends.

In all honesty i wish ya would come earlier in the season due to conditions that time a the year your missing out on alot a the feautures we put out you came when it was so hot we started tearing down jumps and even take away more features
why there is a lot of litter is because all of that littler in feb jan dec and more dug under that snow then the snowmelts reveling all that litter from around 4 mounths

All JB does is complain in each video. Don't believe it , just watch a few. Warm potatoes, fight for speed, constant wind, not going there before me, not as good as right wall, hate on 8440 elevation, so many people in park, madness, park slower, covered in trash, 7 trillion people, crazy Saturday.
