SO HEAVY!!! Glad you are doing more of this stuff. I love watching your park vids and all but this is my kind of riding. Really fun to watch you guys kill these chutes!
@@ericgulseth74 i’m not saying in all situations, but as a skiier I’ll jump turn in narrow shoots if possible. There’s really no thrill in side slipping down a chute. Be aggressive within your comfort level.
16:15 in the video I am in the green jacket. Benton did a 360 into the parking lot right in front of me. I realize it was you guys when I was driving home and passed you in the car on the way to home. That was way to many core shots for my board, would love to do it when we get a good snow year.
Benton scratching up that free thinker just breaks my heart!!!! But knowing Benton is riding a free thinker is super dope!!!! Keep on keeping on dudes!!!
I was here today and honestly, I can't wait for next year and hope that the snow will be better. It was still a blast but soooo sketchy. I cant wait for a few pow days
Honestly the stickers are awesome. I think that any where are you see this evolution sticker is iconic. As somebody who snowboards or even skis. Keep advertising harder and harder.
Don’t know if you’ve been but you gotta hit a trip to big sky. Hit headwaters. One of the sketchiest hikes you’ll see in bounds but wayyy more gnarly than the big couloir. (And no waiting in tram line)
If you’re looking down hill while on toe edge It’s your cue to go to heel immediately simple as that or you’re performing the energy drain posture named quarking
Corbets at Jackson hole is usually cited as the steepest inbounds terrain in North America. East wall is through a gate and not technically inbounds tho so it could be steeper
@@lindseydundar5101 idk I’ve been to snowbird and the upper cirque is pretty steep honestly great Scott I think is near 50 degrees maybe 55 I’m not too sure I could be wrong. The big couloir at big sky is steep too I’m pretty sure that’s 55 degrees also
You’re literally nuts. I’ve done double diamonds at vail and park city but this is just another level. This is past what I would consider fun, too much life or death stakes. Totally fun to watch tho
Was that really worth it lol literally going down with a rope hitting every rock. Such a snowboarder thing to do. Then say they hit the steepest run ever but slid down the whole thing.
@@JohnathanBuckhouse I checked out big snow at the American dream mall two weeks ago after watching your video. Thank you for the review definitely helped. Ended up getting the multiples hope to maybe catch you there someday. I'm older and just learning to snowboard. Your videos have been a great help
Sick terrain y'all. Love technical runs like these. A little feedback on the 360 cam; I know a lot of people love it so I may be in the minority, but I find the video much less watchable because it distorts that beautiful terrain so bad.
@@sk8alldayandnight69itd be better then watching these guys and sliding all the way down haha carve a little around the rocky areas then fly the rest of the way
At a pitch of 55 degrees for about 300 yards, Rambo at Crested Butte Mountain Resort in Colorado is generally cited as the steepest cut ski run in North America.
I love the East Wall, and have skied it many times. 2nd Notch is fun, but it's definitely not the steepest run in North America. I believe Gauthier is the steepest run at A-Basin, but it's still not the steepest in North America.
Hope I can go snowboarding enough to the point where im like...I dunno man yall just wanna take the day off. I look at my weekends like damn wonder if we can get two places in one weekend! :)
Second Notch at abay isn’t even close to the steepest run in North America. Highlands bowl claims the steepest in bounds run in Colorado. And just outside abay is the locally known “shit for brains” couloir, steeper than highlands bowl. Also abay now has the beavers with a few short chutes much steeper and gnarlier than anything on the wall. Please don’t attempt anything in the beavers area without avy gear, training, and a partner. Props to skiing a crazy line on the wall that has an anchored rope to enter with. It can be quite terrifying in low snow conditions.

Legend has it that he's still in those chutes scraping snow.
Can’t wait until Roman is out doing this with you 😂✨

Heck yeah man! Thanks for the feed back! Indefinitely want a healthy mix of both 🙌🏼
Once on a May powder day, I was able to point it from the top, without any down climb. Was one of the more memorable resort runs in my life.
That Benton backflip in the intro was nuts
Planning on doing this this weekend, thanks for the preview, keep up the good work man!
Well at least we know why that chute is never in. This guy keeps on scraping the entire base off
Its okay, us skiers shave off plenty of snow too when we get in side slip scenarios.
I've never understood that complaint about snowboarding as I've seen just as many skiers sideslip. (Myself included)
@@ericgulseth74 i’m not saying in all situations, but as a skiier I’ll jump turn in narrow shoots if possible. There’s really no thrill in side slipping down a chute. Be aggressive within your comfort level.
@@eberlchl me too , if i side slip its likely because I shouldn't be where I am haha !@
Totally. I always feel so bad.
Just an FYI jump turns also shed a lot of snow from the trail.
These videos are extremely helpful sowing terrain for a beginner and the content is wonderful and educational!

Dang dude. I hike everywhere normally at breck but that’s just gnarly.
Going to Breckinridge Thursday so I’m really excited. I’m an intermediate skier.
You will love it!
That's pure Gnarly!!

Ive always loved skiing at a basin. Never thought I’ve doing the east wall though. I think it’s AWSOME that you did it
Went to A-Basin for the first time last Thursday and this was so fun to watch!

This is nuts dude, and Johnathan you gotta come out to Bogus Basin next season to ride with Ellstacker Adventures and I!
That's my home mountain too :) Skis season is about done but Bike season will be here soon.
your content is sick
Thank you!
Hell of a rock dance
Corbets at Jackson hole is usually cited as the steepest inbounds terrain in North America. East wall is through a gate and not technically inbounds tho so it could be steeper
Corbet's is only steep in the drop, after that it's around 35-40 degrees steep.
Corbets not bad after the drop in really
I also heard the Rambo at crested butte is the steepest run in North America

Mmm idk east wall is just shark's on a black, not even near as steep as corbets run out. Buying a topsheet doesn't make you a pro.
a basin is one of the best ski experiences in colorado 🔥
Right!
This is definitely one of my favorite videos, great job!
My stomach was kinda tingly watching you stay in the fall line ready to take a rock to the knee.

So steep, then that camera makes it look even worse 😅 my heart be pumping if I was there
Yo Benton! Sick double BF you did bro 💪🏻💪🏻
The "Nope" Chute. That's what I'd name it
Hahaha 🤣
Just did this last week. Awesome run!
Great view on chute 2 -- 12:15 on is very cool
Soo gnarly!
Yes, let’s turn this into freeride Chanel pls😀😅
You might wanna throw on the ole beacon when you do runs like this. Arapahoe basin in particular is notorious for in bound avalanches.
I was thinking that! Definitely will start
Bro, that’s not snowboarding.. that’s hiking with a snowboard on lol. Looks hella fun though
Have you been to Schweitzer Mountain yet
Not yet

I’m furious, saw your car in the lot. Would have loved to hike that, jealous.
Awe next time! Shoot #1
Your at my mountain! Might be easier if you were riding something bigger than a 145!
this is one of your best vids dude
4:23 just casually say "someone almost died over there" 😂
Haha 😂 happen
You have a Kool last name! Does it have any meaning and what country is it derived from?
How does benton like the freethinker? I just picked up the deep thinker. Haven't rode it yet looking forward to trying it out.

Freaking great!
Were you guys up there on monday?? I think i watched you guys going down the East wall!!!
I think this was Sunday 🤔
INSANE
Right lol
I don't see the point of that. Just to come down super slow from edge to edge, where is the fun? I think the danger outweighs the fun 20 to 1.

is the red jacket a DC jacket?
Isn't corbits at Jackson Hole the steepest in North America?
No even close, just has a steep drop in. And S and S couloir right next to it is waaaay crazier
Those views😱
Its way better feb/march. Go back when theres snow for it.

Hell no highlands bowl is not the steepest, it's just long and consistently around. 40 degrees. Very fun, but not even close to the steepest run
you help me figure out where i should go
Stoked to help!
Where is the triple black sign?
Is it bad that I, a big mountain skier, was looking at that and going “I could ski that”
This has to be one of the most terrifying things on this earth.

Looks like first notch
Awesome video. Too steep for me but I’d love to see those views in person.
You can in the summer! Hike up and hike down
That’s very true but I like them snow ❄️ white views.
40+ years skiing in Alaska has spoiled me , there's nearly no snow on that mountain !!!
They call them the rocky mountains for a reason, lol
Hopefully we get a powder day this year for these runs
