The Path to Resilience: Faith-Centered Approaches to Protect Communities and the Environment

As climate chaos intensifies, we know extreme weather will continue. Forest fires, hurricanes, heat waves, hard winters and power outages are to be expected and they will strain our communities, especially those living with limited resources. As houses of worship and people of faith, we want to be ready to respond. This online gathering, a collaboration between the United Religions Initiative (URI) and the World Resources Institute (WRI) featured the stories of three faith communities in North America (Arizona, California a,nd Minnesota) who are making their buildings safe spaces ("resilient hubs") for the larger community.
