I got my love of baking from my Norwegian grandma Myrtle. She always had a ready array of “baked goods” for us to enjoy with the mandatory coffee each mid morning and mid afternoon.
She is so excited, open and warm personality about what she does. Really inspiring.

My grandmother was a horrible cook, and she never baked. Here is her recipe for a tuna sandwich: Spread a little mayo on some cheap white bread, open some cheap, greasy, tuna in oil (NOT evoo,) and dump some of it on the bread. Top the greasy mound with another piece of cheap, white bread.
She's got a lot more under her belt than cook books. 😅

Awesome cook. Great personality. Wonderful teacher. Such a bundle of joy. But, and there’s always a but, Americans are extremely obese, and everything she makes and teaches just makes our epidemic worse. Sugar is the root cause of our fat and unhealthy American lifestyle.
What a sweeping generalization 😡. Bake and share- don’t need to eat it all.
