WordPress bans WP Engine - What Really Happened?

    I could be wrong but I thought the problem is the use of the name "WordPress" (visible on main page for example). I think the acronym "WP" is not the problem and no, not everybody knows WP means "WordPress".
    Are you sure WP Engine didn't contribute?

      I wouldn't know if WP Engine contributed or not as I am only going by what Mullenweg said. Also, I personally know quite a few people who bought WP engine hosting specifically because of the letters WP. A lot of people do automatically associate WP with WordPress especially those with WordPress websites.

    ALTHOUGH You never know what really goes/went on in somebody's Head...
    to the outside it still really looks like the snappy reaction of a sulky kid 😅🙈
