Can't believe that a mother could abuse a child to such extreme levels, unless the child is probably adopted. Even then it is evident that her mother had serious psychological issues, to have abused a kid in such a manner. Maybe she herself underwent a similar torture as a child. It is torture and not just abuse. Brave Kiruthika's deep pain is so evident but can never be felt by anyone else, other than by those who have gone through similar domestic torture. The worst is over for her. Sincerely wish her well🙏

Mothers with mental disorders such as Malignant Narcissism do that to their children. Many Sri Lankan Psychologists and Phychitrists are idiots because they don't recognize this disorder since it is not mentioned in their checklist however physiologists in other country very easily recognize this case. Torture is also a form of a abuse. However what she went through is not sexual abuse but physical abuse. Malignant narcissistic mothers hurt their children just to feel pleasure.

There are plenty of mothers like that and they suffer from Malignant narcissism. Her story is entirely true.

The interview was both horrifying and almost surrealistic. The worst that can happen to any of us is when our primary caregivers, the ones who are supposed to nurture and protect turn against us in this manner. My heartfelt empathy to you Kiruthika for having to undergo such experiences in your life from such young age. As you so rightly said 'this too shall pass..' unfortunately there will be some parts one cant let go. It helps to try to understand that the perpetrators are also victims and compromised in their own emotional and psychological development in addition to being mentally ill. One can try to turn the horror into a strength to help others which could also be part of the healing process, but again very complex as one tends to re-live one's own horror at some point. All I can say is the 'Worst is Over' and may you be blessed Kiruthika with strength and compassion to overcome this experience over time. 🙏TC

Thank you for sharing your story... hats off to your courage & wishing you all the happiness in the world!
And for all the young mums and for those who wants to be a mum in future, most important role of a mum is to accept your child as who they are and to fill their life with love and security...

I empathize with you. I honestly think there should be more programs to educate people to break these deep rooted stigmas. And pray to whatever the God you believe in that people have the brains to understand it.
