- Hi there!
Welcome to my channel and thank you for stepping by :)
In this video I share some experiences from September I didn't have a chance to share before - some of my winter preparations, behind the scenes from my art project and also... some moments filled with adrenaline.
Hope you enjoy it!
Stay safe, in love and peace.

I use manual focus vintage lenses almost exclusively (old film photography lenses). Neither colour grading nor filters have been applied in the video.

Hi there!
How is your weekend?
Here in Sweden, we will still have snow for couple more months, but the spring is already in the air: the birds singing, the Sun climbing higher and higher each day and giving us warmth.
But this video is not about now - as I mentioned in one of my previous ones I will be going back in time now and in this case I go back to some experiences from September I didn't have a chance to share before - some of my winter preparations, behind the scenes from my art project and ...some moments filled with adrenaline.
Hope you enjoy it!
Truly impressive tree climbing skills😍
Wonderful video💚
Hahaha. Thank you dear 🥰
Good job retrieving your drone. Impressive tree climbing skills!
Thanks! That was quite an experience! I was impressed myself to be able to do that :)
Wow , you are very courageous and confident in climbing those branches.....you didn't have other choice, any way 😉 So lovely season, such a treasure of colors in this sweden autumn. I love it so much 🧡🧡🍂
That's true - if I wanted to keep the drone this had to happen 😄 The colours are indeed amazing, all year round. I haven't unfortunately experienced spring in Sweden, but based on other seasons each of them is very intense in it's own way. Autumn with colours! It passes very fast, so Nature really makes it into a great show 😊
Hi Isa :)
We were talking about the properties of lenses. I'm not pretending to know anything in this field...No critique...I just look and experience. Maybe I should call it "a taken on atmosphere" instead of my earlier term. Maybe it's all about depth of field...also colours, of course.
I made some notes while watching
Field of depth changes dramatically with a person in the space @3:51 ...looks great.
Becomes flat afterwards
A feature of a movie lens?
Black clothing blends in perfectly
@4:55 - 5:06 Nice depth of field
@10:49 No depth of field....so different.
@11:51 More depth of field
You're good at climbing trees...but be careful!
You need suitable gloves
Congrats on the success of the retrieval!
Roland
Hi Roland,
Exciting to get your notes!
So those 3:51 and 4:55 scenes were shot of course with the manual lenses, so well spotted!
When I'm filming myself in movement the focus stays for an entire time on the same point as it can't change automatically. All the settings in the lens stay the same entire time. When I operate the lens I do often like to play with the focus and explore different dimensions of the image and in these cases the focus actually shifts, by my doing. I really love the atmosphere it creates.
Most of the times I don't consider myself as a main subject in a scene, because Nature is, I'm just passing by and so it's ok for me if outside of the focus point I blurr out. If I really want to be sharp I will rather stay in a limited space to make sure I'm in focus (what very often takes many attempts haha). Or if I have to I will use my digital lens (but very rare).
Entire drone rescue action was unfortunately filmed with my mobile - I have used some clips from it in my videos few times before but with a lot of hesitation as it's a very low quality. But this journey with filming taught me to let go of the need to be perfect and... it is what it is :) I'm hoping to have an additional camera one day - for different ideas I have.
In that particular moment there was no time for preparing the camera, the right lens, the tripod etc... I was super stressed and needed to act fast!!! 😀 So I used my phone.
But yes, you were able to discern between the images from the old manual lenses and the digital ones right!
And the drone has digital camera as well of course.
As for the climbing! Yes, as I mentioned there I had some experience in childhood, so it wasn't my first time and I quite knew what I was doing, I think.
Gloves probably would be great, but it was totally spontanoeus and I wasn't prepared. And it wasn't actually a problem not to have them. What was the worst and what I will never forget, was the terrible pain in my arms afterwards! Auch! Funny thing I felt nothing while climbing, only after I got down to the ground the pain really exploded 🙂
Thank you for taking the time for notes and observations!
