This massive TV is pretty incredible! But I think the only thing 99% of us really want to know is, how long for this technology trickle down into something reasonable? Any thoughts?
nearly a decade. Samsung has proven it can be scaled down to consumer sizes. But the yields still have to come down dramatically. But OLED was astronomically expensive only a few years ago and look at the cost now. So i'm hopeful🤞🏿

It could be faster than 10 years because many companies, especially chinese companies, are trying to get in on the action. Once the chinese are in, you know price will get really competitive really fast.

Now it's expected for prices to drop dramatically. They were going to have TCL sell OLEDs using Samsung panels but they must have realized that would be a bad idea for now.
I have a love hate relationship with Samsung, I'm still a fan of their displays nonetheless. For $150k, they sure are missing some key specs on their site. I'm wondering if RTINGS is going to buy this TV and review it. I have their Neo G9 monitor, and trying to check up on their firmware is a nightmare. You'd think it would be as easy as just going to the support section under the monitor on their site, but nope. I digress. I'm curious how many zones it has and what's the peak brightness and sustained brightness, 60Hz or 120Hz etc.

Literal sapphire MicroLED, every emerging TV technology goes through it's "for people who don't have to ask what the price is" phase. It's basically a research platform. OLED went through it just like plasma did, etc. What makes me laugh is that these TVs have speaker systems. Idk who's getting this without a matching tier surround sound. (I say that and people will buy an A95K at MSRP and not even buy a 5.1 setup 🤣)

I like the one connect box but there is absolutely no reason not to have a 3 meter cable if it is optical. The box should be 2.5gbps to make it a little more future proof - that or I hope Samsung let's you mix and match the connect box so you can upgrade it down the road. The power cord for EVERYTHING these days should be detachable.

Holy crap. Just picked one of these up for my setup. This this is insane in person. Although for some reason when trying to game on this the screen glitches out sometimes when turning it on and switching inputs.
for such a piece of equipment I can't understand why they don't have a display port 2.1 for computer attachment to get the best experience possible. I have the 55 inch micro led and it is by far the best tv(monitor) I've ever owned. And so glad they finally caught on to the matte finish. Looking through glass coated panels is so hard on your eyes
It’s re-released 2018-2019 design with some sort of new processors. That’s how I feel it at least. But not so much improvement. It has a lot of potential yet it hasn’t sky rocketed yet
You don't have MicroLED, you may have MiniLED. You don't need DP 2.1 for 4K120Hz. HDMI 2.1 is enough for that and you don't even need DSC. 4K165Hz needs DSC. DP 2.1 will be needed for 8K120Hz, but there is no monitor or TV that can do it yet from a cable, not sure about Streaming. DP 2.1 is fairly new and only the 7000 Series from AMD has it. NVidia 4000 doesn't. Those connections, resolutions, refresh rates and color depths that require those connections will be needed and more widely available @ 2024. Until then HDMI 2.1, DP 1.4 and 4K120Hz is the way to got for now.
How do you have a 55 inch Micro led when you don't even have that size to sell? at most you have an Oled or confused with the garbage, I mean... Mini led.
That moment when your ultra expensive new tv is fitted. You put a movie on and suddenly think 'why hasn't the Dolby Vision logo appeared it's like a Ferrari with wooden wheels when will Samsung join the modern tv age ?
Dolby vision has better whites, hdr10+ has better bright colors. They're not even that important unless the TV is in a dark room. If you're just throwing them in a bright living room they don't even matter.
I must also say, I clicked on the link and for a company selling this level of high end gear their website is lacking... please tell them to fix it 🙏 😔
How many local dimming zones does this micro-LED TV actually have? I'm curious since I currently own a mini-LED monitor (Samsung Odyssey Neo G8) that has 1196 local dimming zones. I'm interested of upgrading to a micro-LED monitor in the future. I still don't want to go OLED on a monitor because of the unavoidable burn-in I'll eventually get later on. 😩I do have a 77" LG C2 OLED TV though and it looks amazing! 😁
Just like OLED, every pixel on a microLED is its own "dimming zone". As in, they can all switch off and on independently of each other for perfect blacks. MicroLED's biggest advantages over OLED are brigthness and lack of burn-in issues. Biggest disadvantage is obviously price. 😆
ML Image quality is insane and yes microled is the future but this is not a succes. Until they make them smaller so you can have a 4k-8k tv at 43 inch ....for many people this is too big
I could buy 5 lg g3 97 inch that would generate less heat with that money, with dolby vision , less clunky microled panel problems I've heard about, less power usage and better gaming performance and features. Microled is a nono even for a bleeding edge product meant for chads.
100" TVs will probably never be standard. Even if it gets to be more affordable, most homes don't even have enough wall real estate to even mount the TV. Also we are more than just a couple years away from this getting to be affordable. I'm guessing at least a decade.

It's more likely we will get the true QNED from Samsung before getting really affordable MicroLeds.

Hisense has a 115 inch TV... that will cost less than 20, 000 $. In a couple of years 100 inch TVs will be the standard.
100" TVs will probably never be standard. Even if it gets to be more affordable, most homes don't even have enough wall real estate to even mount the TV.
