can totally ubderstand the language thing, you start to notice more koreans words than english, that happened to me, when im watching a tv show (think it was teen wolf) i noticed when watching panicking because i noticed they were speaking in english and (normally i have subtitles because im deaf/hearing impaired subtitles are my life source when comes watching tv shows or movies or mv). Took me awhile to realised im watching an american tv show not korean tv show lol. im so used to korean language more so than english but still cant understand it lol

yeah i see what you mean about the popularity comparison! i think an interesting side to it is that suga's mixtape got rereleased on spotify and other platforms and did really well on the charts, considering this is a 2 years old mixtape (also from a foreign artist) for it to do so well shows that popularity of bts has really grown. idk how suga's mixtape did when it was first released though i do know that it was well liked! Mainly, there is Alice in Wonderland, Harry Potter and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. All of which are novels that kind of revolve about the main character's reality being altered drastically and their escape from their personal realities. So when J-Hope sings "Wish on a Sky, Wish on a Scar," the sky could be a reference to The Hitchhiker's Guide, as the characters are literally escaping to the sky/space. The Scar is for Harry Potter, whose scar is what takes him away from the life of an unfortunate boy in a terrible and oppressive adoptive family. Plus, when someone wishes on a star (the origins of the phrase "wish on a star" ) its usually to change their life. J-Hope's "Daydream" is an ode to the fact that because he is such a public figure, he rarely has a chance to be himself and to do somethings he wants (get drunk, curse, go wild). But even if he wants those things sometimes, he knows that for now it is only a fleeting Daydream. But, he doesn't completely hate his situation. He actually feels fortunate to be in his position, if you look at his other lyrics in the other songs on the tape. Anyway, that was long and I hope you get a chance to read this, Bris.
