yooooo
:0 leshawn!!!
Persona 3 Reload exploded so much that now, less and less people are saying « dafuck is that » when someone talks about Persona. And that’s beautiful.
That is great growth! I plan on doing a playthrough of Persona soon
“Teddie can turn into a human?!” Girl when I tell you that’s just the start of his betrayals 😂
😭😭 I got anothing thing coming lol
@@MegabyteMeganIll be real with you. I've played every mainline game and just about every spinoff and I can confidently say... I don't know what Teddie even is. Like the game gives a very clear answer but he does so many things that answer doesn't account for
@@connorharnage6697SPOILERS FOR ALL Persona 4 AND Persona 4 Golden
Teddie is just a shadow that was able to gain human emotions and developed a "Human" form after defeating his other half
@@ChiangKai-Shrek Yeah that part I get but... He just sorta spawn stuff out of nowhere and survives things that would kill any human or Shadow. Also what he does towards the end of the game doesn't make much sense given how Shadows are shown to work either
About Teddie's human form, he's always been a bear, he just literally birthed himself into a human in a hot summer day.
Into a naked human, making Yosuke spend all his money to buy him some clothes at Junes lol
By doing sit-ups no less
@@connorharnage6697 If Vegeta can become a Super Saiyan by doing push ups, sit ups and drinking plenty of juice, why can't Teddie grow a body?
Persona started back in like 1996 or 7’ but it’s a spin off from the main franchise called “Shin Megami Tensei” which began way back during the 80s. So yeah this franchise as a whole is really old lol.
The franchise goes wayyy back! Can't wait to get into the series!
I will say this, P1 and the P2 duology use a mix of the older SMT gameplay and their own system. Mainline Persona as it's gameplay is known now starts with P3. P2 Duology (Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment) tho is, imo, far and away the strongest written of the series and it has yet to beat that. But you'll have to deal with gameplay that might feel more archaic to experience it. It's still my favorite. It, P3P cause of the femc route and PQ2 cause it gave us more femc are the best Persona games, imo@@MegabyteMegan
Persona 3 is all about the color blue, Persona 4 is yellow and Persona 5 is red. All primary colors. Persona 1 & 2 are different cause they're kinda their own thing, I think. My favorite is Persona 4 Golden cause the game is real cute and a lot less dark than the other game.
Persona 4 is probably going to be next one I check out. Heard a lot of good things about it
P1's color is purple, while P2's is an orange-like brown. Initially, P2 had the color red, until the arrival of P5.
26:36 Yeah it's the Persona 3 and Persona 4 cast working together.
Oh you can plag any of the base games in any order they all have different protags and storys by base game i mean p4 or p4g , p3 or p3r , or p5 or p5r
I think I'm going to go for p3r
You don’t need to play all the games in numerical order. You do need to play the spin offs after the main game (if you choose to play them). (Because 4 Arena Exists and isn’t clearly a cross over game I feel the need to specify you have to play this after The Answer ([the final storyline in Persona 3 FES] as well as Golden [The Definitive version of 4 like how Royal is the Definitive version of 5, sadly we don’t have a definitive version for 3, Reload is the closest thing we have RN though.]
Thank you for the info! I'll look into playing 4
@@MegabyteMegan The thing is, I think with reload just coming out and being yet another remake though in the style of persona 5, persona 4 might get its own remake in the style of 5 coming out soon too.
@@ryedj707probably yeah
There's two openings you missed. Persona 5 Tactica and Persona 3 Reload. Just so you know.
Gotta watch those! Thanks for letting me know!
Play P3 Reload, P4 Golden, and P5 Royal for the best of the series and then pick the others based on which characters you like more. I recommend P4 Arena Ultimax, P5 Strikers and P5 Tactical as well as the dancing games if you like those
teddy and kuma are the same people, just diff translation (kuma is japanese)
Yeah I was shocked with I found out later in the other openings
15:20 p3p actually came out with a female main character a full route with different choices and events or the same events just seen though different eyes and includes romances but she did not return for p3 reload
Hmm I wonder why she didn't return
@MegabyteMegan Most likely it would of been time consuming since they would of needed to do extra voice recording for romances and social links plus the female MC called Kotone Shiomi was seen as a new game plus since the game says she's for more veterans of p3 but she does appear in the Manga and cross over games like Labyrinth Q2
Edit: you do see her in the labyrinth trailer at 34:32 after the p3 p4 and p5 MCs
Even though I know it probably won't happen, I still hope that after The Answer DLC releases, they will release Kotone's campaign as DLC as well.
The best part about all these "reacting to persona intros" videos is that us Persona veteran just know you're gonna want to play the game... and then another... and then another... and then you'll be one of us... and then... you'll get to experience the wonderful experience that is post-Persona depression... 😅
Welcome aboard. This franchise has got a LOT to offer.
Thank you for the warm welcome!!
Persona is known as "A Soundtrack with games attached", Altus only puts the best music in there games, there are 2 other openings, 1 for P3 Reload which you were talking about, and one for Persona 5 Tactica.
Also just a little bit of info, Persona is a spin-off of a spin-off, of the SMT series and became more popular. If you want game recommendations, P3 Fes or Reload, P4 Golden, and the original Persona 5. You can play them in any order, you don't really need prior knowledge of the other games, except if you play Persona 2.
Okay that's good to know I was a bit confused on why there were so many 3's and 4's games. I might play Persona 3 Reload. I have to watch the recent Persona 3 reload opening
Why the hell would you play persona 5 when 5 royal exists? It's a clear upgrade in everything.
@@Leo-we2dlsame with persona 3 fes when reload literally just released this weak, might as well recommend that over an inferior version.
@@-jay-2993 I didn't mention it because maybe he said it because FES has The Answer unlike Reload
Persona shares this title with guilty gear honestly, the music is just so good.
Loved the reaction, you're awesome
Thank you! Persona gameplay coming soon!
You are correct in saying he is joker lol
Welp that's a start lol. Playing Persona 3 reloaded next week
W reaction to my favorite video game series🔥🔥🔥
I just started playing Persona 1 and already fell in love with this series, so excited to go through all of them eventually! The Persona 3 Reload announcement is what finally got me interested
Mad respect for starting at 1, we’re definitely a minority in this fandom
Not a lot of people start from the beginning, they normally start at 3. Props to you! Tell me how 1 is when you finish
@@MegabyteMegan the gameplay is super dated and the story and characters aren’t as interesting as 2 onwards, but it gave me a unique perspective on the series I wouldn’t have had if I started with 4 or 5 and I don’t regret it. Plus I would’ve skipped 2 and I love 2
The guy you called a supervillain in the persona 2 opening is Baofu and he’s a party member!
Oh that's pretty neat! What does he do as a party member? What are his abilities?
@@MegabyteMegan In persona games, each character has an entity they summon that all their abilities are attached to, and there is a mechanic for acquiring new ones and swapping them between party members. So what his abilities are vary
@@MegabyteMeganThe other guy basically already explained what Personas are but besides that, Baofu's also basically the group's Intel guy. He's constantly tapping into the phones of important political figures and also runs a forum for major rumors (Basically an P2, widespread rumors become reality so you can see how vital that sort of stuff would be)
What is your favorite Persona opening and why?
persona 4 dancing all night bc of the vibes
Easily the Persona 2 remakes openings. Unbreakable Tie is genuinely amazing with how it starts off fast paced and a little crazy but calms down and focuses more on the characters (much like Persona 2 in general) is genuinely amazing to me. Eternal Punishment's opening is just an almost 1:1 remake of the original (which I love) so that goes without saying
Honestly, it's tough between original Persona 3, Persona Q2, and PSP Eternal Punishment, with original Persona 4, Persona Q, and PS1 Innocent Sin not too far behind
Everybody just jumping to 7:43
People just love Persona 3!
@@MegabyteMegan is the best, without a doubt
The one with the strongest powers is the people you keep seeing in blue around the doctor Eggman lookin guy
Teddie having a human body: betrayal
Literal dead bodies dangling from the phone wires: chill
My favorite Persona game? Yes.
People always forget to see persona 5 táctica intro in this videos
Going to watch that intro soon
Adachi and the power of the incel acana is over powered af
You can't really go wrong with either P3R, P4G or P5R. My favorite is P5R, but all of these three game are top notch.
P3R deals allot with the theme of Death.
P4G is basically Jojo Part 4 and imo the funniest cast since they are about as dumb as high school kids should be. Theme is Truth.
P5R goes more into the political sphere, so the theme is tied to Revolution. This has my favorite gameplay and story
If I had to pick from the Persona series...
Best Overall Game: Persona 3 Reload (though Persona 5 Royal is close)
Best Story: Persona 2 Innocent Sin + Persona 2 Eternal Punishment (it's a two game series)
Best Characters: Persona 4 Golden
Best Soundtrack: Persona 5 Royal
It's a spinoff from the Shin Megami Tensei series which is also incredible, but doesn't have any of the life sim stuff Persona 3 and beyond have. The battle system is much better though, at least starting from Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne and on. Megaten games are straight dungeon crawlers with minimal story though, so are more niche than the Persona series. I can't pick a favorite between the two series, but they're my two favorite RPG series (with Dragon Quest probably my third).
Thank you so much on your input for this! I was going to skip Persona 2 because not a lot of people talk about it. But since you said That it has a great story then I might go ahead and check it out!
@@MegabyteMegan The two Persona 2's (Innocent Sin is Part 1, Eternal Punishment is Part 2) are awesome but also very old style JRPG, being PS1 era games. I'd definitely check them out if you like the modern games though, e.g. Persona 3 Reload, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal.

Best game gotta be 3
To untangle this mess of games:
COMPLETE VERSIONS OF MAIN GAMES
1. Revelations Persona (PS1) / Persona 1 (PSP)
2. Persona 2 Innocent Sin (PS1 and PSP)
3. Persona 2 Eternal Punishment (PS1; there is also a PSP remake but it's only available in Japanese)
4. Persona 3 FES (PS2)
5. Persona 3 Portable (PSP, PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, XBox One, XBox Series)
6. Persona 4 Golden (Vita, PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, XBox One, XBox Series)
7. Persona 5 Royal (PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, XBox One, XBox Series)
8. Persona 5 Strikers (PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, XBox One, XBox Series) (called Persona 5 Scramble in the video, but that's the Japanese name of the game)
9. Persona 3 Reload (PC, PS4, PS5, XBox Series)
The PSP remake of Persona 1 adds a more poppy soundtrack. The battle theme is a banger but the most unintelligible Engrish I have ever heard.
Persona 3 Reload is a remake of Persona 3. Persona 3 FES adds a new chapter after the events of Persona 3. The new chapter was not very well liked by the fanbase but it's still the definitive way to play Persona 3 on the PS2 since it has some quality of life enhancements vs the original Persona 3 on PS2. Persona 3 Portable you can play the same as Persona 3, but you also can play a parallel storyline as a female. Highly recommended. Persona 4 on PS2 isn't worth getting since Golden is superior. The voice acting for Chie is terrible in the PS2 version of the game and sounds like a 30 year old woman while it was replaced by someone who sounds like the energetic teen Chie is in Golden. And the English voice actor for Chie in Golden is much more in line with how the original Japanese voice actor for Chie sounds. The original Persona 5 on PS4 isn't worth getting since Persona 5 Royal adds so much to the story with a ton of quality of life improvements and cool extras.
Also Persona 4 Golden was so good a lot of people bought a Vita just to play it back when the Vita was the only option for it.
Also Persona 5 Strikers is a Musou game and not a turn based RPG like the rest of the main series, but it's a direct sequel to the base Persona 5 game so I'm putting it with the main games. It's also a pretty large game. It's not a sequel to Persona 5 Royal though, as it plays like the story of Persona 5 Royal after the new year never happened (P5Royal on P5 have mostly the same story before the new year in the game).
SPINOFFS
1. Persona 4 Arena - Fighting game with Persona 4 cast
2. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax - Sequel to Persona 4 Arena
3. Persona 4 Dancing All Night - Rhythm game to Persona 4's soundtrack + new songs + visual novel. The rhythm part is great, the visual novel is terrible.
4. Persona 3 Dancing in Moonlight - Rhythm game to Persona 3's soundtrack + new songs
5. Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight - Rhythm game to Persona 5's soundtrack + new songs
PERSONA Q / PERSONA 5 TACTICA
Sorry haven't played any of these since I hate the look of the chibi art style. They're supposed to be tactics games though.
27:41 Naoto is a girl btw
Thanks for correcting me
Dude... that's a spoiler. What if she wanted to play the game?
Thats really not something you should say to someone who hasn't played the game. And you may get a fair amount of push back on that subject among people who have.
