  • Does BlueDevil offer a permanent solution with its engine oil stop leak solution that is proven to seal your leak and get you back on the road again? I have a 1994 Chevy Cheyenne C/1500 with the 4.3L Vortec V6 engine that leaks oil, mainly from the valve cover gaskets. I purchased a bottle of BlueDevil Oil Stop Leak because it’s supposed to seal engine oil leaks permanently.
    I also purchased the Blue Devil rear main sealer for an old Volvo I had. I did a video review of that product.

    Just tried it on a 2004 BMW X3 3.0i, I’ve had a leak for 3 years. Never thought it’d make it this long. 171,400 miles. Drove it for 30mins after BlueDevil, seems like it’s working already! Have some old t-shirts from my last job. Going for a good drive tomorrow, and throwing old t-shirts underneath. I only applied one bottle.

    It worked on my 98 F150 4.6 years ago , then I got rid of it. Ford had a KNOWN manufacturing issue where debris was left between head/block.
    At about 90k miles it started leaking. BD fixed it long enough to sell it.

      Perfect person to ask here, I have a 97 thunderbird with the 4.6. I’m gonna guess that issue goes to each engine, so if that’s the case, is it worth messing with the engine or should I just get a different engine to drop in? Or is that an easy fix by just replacing the gasket?

      @markmarquardt3119 4 роки тому

      @Jose Diaz If you don't know what your talking about just don't comment. My corolla has a similar timing chain tensioner and all that seals it is a small rubber o-ring seal, which can shrink or get brittle over time. Oh and "off label use"?? This is from the Blue Devil website: "Repairs and reconditions rubber seals throughout any fluid oil system".

    • @markmarquardt3119
      @markmarquardt3119 4 роки тому +1

      @Jose Diaz Again you show your ignorance: Both in his case and mine it's a timing chain, not a belt. The tensioner still works! it slides in and just a little o-ring is all that seals it up, and they go bad. The leak is from that little seal, which is rubber and this product is supposed to fix. OP had a legitimate question, and your answer makes no sense.
