  • I am totally dismantling this Maytag Centennial Washer MVWC model with a bad transmission. The washplate has frozen onto the gear shaft and the drive hub is stuck. I will use a bottle jack to try and remove the stuck transmission

    Has anyone but me tried using WD40? Sprayed it around inner part of wash plate, waited an hour, and it slid right off.

    I screwed some screws in the washplate holes and pulled mine out with pliers

    it does just pull straight off , just a little stuck but it will

    Found a small black round hose 3 t0 4 inches long in my filter. Really hard piece ,what could this be be?

    I wonder if you would have pour boiling
    water on if that would have busted it
    loose?
