Forgotten graves evoke a sense of loss, a silent narrative of lives once lived. They speak to the passage of time and the transient nature of memory. In each unmarked plot lies a story untold, a history fading away with the weathering of tombstones.
That’s what I thought. Like he’s on a film set or back lot in Hollywood. Kept thinking of Frankenstein when the grave robbers are there to dig up fresh graves 👻

Long story short everyone makes fun of Odd for doing odd stuff, etc., etc., and he didn't want his name on his tombstone, but only his birth year and death year. ....but Odd's final wish was never granted to him because a young couple was walking through the cemetery, and looking down noticed the 'name-less' headstone and said, 'Isn't that....' My uncle had been renting out over 12 acres of land to a man with some cows for well over 15 years. When he died the land was sold and the new owner wanted a few trees cut and the stumps removed so he could plant for winter hay. Upon removing stumps...the men kept hitting chunks of slabs and there was writing on them. Work was stopped...a crew was brought in by the state...Bingo...a very old cemetery from the early 1800's. Today that part is fenced off with about 30 graves with their stones. My thought is...I bet there are more out there that did not have stones...just big rocks etc. ....but they left it at that.

When bought land to build our dairy farm it used to be an old county home for poor people and found an old neglected cemetery and contacted the local Boy Scouts and they came and helped us to cleaned it up and yes we kept it up for 35 years and when we sold the farm we made sure the new owners kept it up which they have and hopefully whoever buys the property next will do the same. Nunhead Cemetery, Linden Grove,London, SE153LP Perhaps the least known, but most attractive, of the great Victorian Cemeteries of London. Consecrated in 1840, it is one of the seven great Victorian cemeteries established in a ring around the outskirts of London. It contains examples of the magnificent monuments erected in memory of the most eminent citizens of the day, which contrast sharply with the small, simple headstones marking common, or public, burials. It’s formal avenue of towering limes and the Gothic gloom of the original Victorian planting gives way to paths which recall the country lanes of a bygone era.

i too am facinated with really old graves. even as a child i liked to see which is the oldest one i could find. i have NEVER heard of this cemetery, thank you Chris for showing us this place. it is sad how they are virtually on top of one another, and some right on the track you need to walk on, but like you said... in a few years no one will even know the graves are there. so sad
You might find Crossbones cemetery in London interesting, which was the cemetery of prostitutes and paupers from the Victorian era and the Catholic cemetery in Leytonstone has the grave of Mary Kelly the last of the Jack the Ripper's victims.

Very interesting, amazing how nature eventually takes back everything. It's doesn't matter if your a Prince or a street sweeper eventually everyone dances with the grim reaper.

Thanks so much these are awesome thanks for sharing
That place looks like a movie set. Wow. It's beautiful.
That was beautiful. Especially that chapel. It would be cool to have a Halloween walk there an have people come in an make more paths an clean the old ones better. Love the way the ivy looks. I found a cemetery on a island in Kentucky lake. It was kinda like that. Not as fancy as yours. Thanks
So very sad. Wish someone would clean it up!!! I love old cemeteries. RIP to all
I love this chap thanks for coming to England
Oh wow😳 thats amazing. I'm so jealous. My soul would be so at rest there😊 I love it. The headstone with the tree growing around it was just beautiful.
Looks like a movie set...that is sad but hauntingly beautiful.
i too am facinated with really old graves. even as a child i liked to see which is the oldest one i could find. i have NEVER heard of this cemetery, thank you Chris for showing us this place. it is sad how they are virtually on top of one another, and some right on the track you need to walk on, but like you said... in a few years no one will even know the graves are there. so sad
So Beautiful when Nature Reclaims these Cemeteries. but.... Monsanto/Round-Up needs to sponsor a mass clean up !
Thanks Chris enjoyed it as always
This place would be really creepy during the night.
bucket list cemetery for me now. thanks for sharing 👍
You might find Crossbones cemetery in London interesting, which was the cemetery of prostitutes and paupers from the Victorian era and the Catholic cemetery in Leytonstone has the grave of Mary Kelly the last of the Jack the Ripper's victims.
All I can say is wow!
I have never tried it but was once told if you spread corn meal on the headstone it will help bring out the writing so you can read it better.
I just love the beautiful ivy and your videos Chris, greetings from Maine!
I think it’s beautiful just like it is! Very old and very historical! ❤️😎🤩
Miss alot of your in the UK! Because I didn't have your 2nd channel !
Caught up now ! Love to go back in the UK!
It is seem strange they don't keep up old cemetery !
What a cool place to explore!!
Very interesting, amazing how nature eventually takes back everything. It's doesn't matter if your a Prince or a street sweeper eventually everyone dances with the grim reaper.
Enjoyed the explore
I'm sure I'll eventually be forgotten. I'm definitely not gonna be taking up space like that though. Turn my ass back to dust and set me on a shelf somewhere. It's WAY cheaper, and my family can visit me anytime they want.
Yes really interesting and thanks for sharing.
All I can say is thank God for weirdos like you, Chris! Otherwise, we'd not know about some of these fascinating places - both here and around the world! Thanks for another great video!
This is a well known location.
So much to see in the UK Chris.....you need to move here for a year or two💪👍🇬🇧
So incredibly beautiful. 💗🌿
I did a guided tour of Nunhead cematary, it is beautifal , nature has taken over a lot of it , but that what makes it unique.
I would love to see a gardening company volunteer to get stuck in and clear the lot, that would make a great video
Wow ! Very cool !
