      VAHVA Fitness is DOMS not a good sign then? I thought breaking down and building of muscle fibre was how the muscle got stronger.

    • @Vahvafitness
      @Vahvafitness  6 років тому +1

      It depends on the nature of the soreness and how it happened. Soreness is a good thing but there is a sweet spot where the muscle grows stronger without getting overly damaged. For example, you can create extremely strong DOMS with bad training where the muscle barely gets stimulated and mostly just gets damaged. You can do this with heavy resistance the muscle barely can handle or dynamic stretching where you are over-reaching. Growth will happen but it's not quality growth, it slowdowns progress and it creates tightness and inflammation.

    When I working out this way I don't even care what kind of body it will get me. Its just so damn much fun to be in the flow and just feeling the joy of free movement! Thanks for the inspiration. You are into the good stuff. I would really like to work with you someday.

    Hello Eero, the 2nd method is wonderful. I am so glad you have worked your way up to be able to roll the muscles. This is a cleansing motion as well as helps to connect with your mental/emotional solar plexus. You truly are learning all aspects of becoming powerful.

      You really just have to learn the principle behind it. Most of my approach and programs are about the 2. method. Once you learn the principle it can be utilized in any area: the abs included but you can use it to control and strengthen any part of the body.

    I've been doing the third method mostly.. The 2nd was mindblowing.. Awesome control.. But I really want to know more of the 1st method.. Do I just simply move.. Or is there something more.

    • @Vahvafitness
      @Vahvafitness  6 років тому +1

      Thank you Jethro. 1. method is the most advanced and complex. Most people understand the 3 method, very few people understand the 2 method and almost no one understands the 1 method (only some athletes, martial artists and fighters etc.).

    What u r doing is amazing.. but u can't communicate this to people using words, like asking them to do 10 push ups or 10 pull ups. This is of much different and wider approach towards the physique/mind. U can't teach what u r doing, but u can guide people through it maybe..?

    • @Vahvafitness
      @Vahvafitness  6 років тому +2

      I could teach it but I have realized it's not always necessary. Just by following the guidance you can learn it and the details don't necessarily need to matter

    Hello Eero, I've been watchingyour videos and following you for a long time now, and was wondering what are your final objectives with your training. I mean everything you do is exccellent and beatifull to see, very enjoyable cause its like seeing a dancer performing, but do you have a final goal as having a great define body, or a new form or art, running faster tham any other or becoming a bodubuilder with armonic form?

    • @Vahvafitness
      @Vahvafitness  6 років тому +7

      Thank you Horacio! My current goal is to actually compete in MMA but my whole approach is geared towards well-rounded, maximal performance without sacrificing health or longevity. My approach is holistic in a sense that you will become good at everything. If you decide to join any class whether it's CrossFit, yoga, ballet, ballroom dance or play any sport like basketball or football - you are already physically capable and you mostly need to add skill.
      I recently joined a ballet class and my teacher was surprised that I had not done ballet before. My training partner started ballroom dance and already won a competition after 6 months of training. Similar crossover will happen to sports and martial arts as well. This is the result of proper strength training.

      VAHVA Fitness That's an excellent aproach not just for training but for life. I've been training different sports since 18 yo, though used to be very bad and hated it during my childhood, mostly due to bad teachers, old school macho trainers and bullies (I used to be fat and fluffy), but from then on I discovered my body and how exciting was training it. Then I had a very bad accident, and recovered only partially, but still once I learnt to love sports never abandoned them, and practiced various martial arts, gimnastic, kajaking, rowing, running, swimming and things now I can't remember -you can guess I'n not young anymore, maybe fortunately -, and understood that age is not a limit. I'm 56 and last year started to study again, something very different from my old career, and really think one musn't accept the limits other people asume, for them and for you. People many times want others to feel less so they can think they are more. L'enfer sont les autres, say Sartre I think. Thank you for your answer.

    Hi wanted your advise.. I was doing j jump rope for a 2 months. I developed pain in my knees and even after discontinueing and taking rest for 2 months the knees still hurt.. Can't bend them fully. Can you suggest any exercises to strengthen the knees.. God bless you

    • @Vahvafitness
      @Vahvafitness  6 років тому

      You likely need to strengthen the quadriceps. Working on exercises like bodyweight squats and lunges will be helpful, as well as doing pure leg extensions

    Hey dude how much strength training would you recommend for boxers and fighters? I don't want it to take over my skill training.

    • @Vahvafitness
      @Vahvafitness  6 років тому

      There can actually be quite plenty but it needs to be smart work. When you find the sweet spot in intensity, you will feel some soreness but it's not the kind that makes you stiff and hinders your skill training. If you frequently get heavy DOMS, then you are stepping over the line.

    • @mattwalker2477

      What split would you recommend man? Right now I do each muscle group 3 days a week but my triceps get sore that my punches are sloppy and my legs get sore that sometimes I can't even move around the ring.

    Your philosophy remembers me Ido's, but in a more structured way. Ido is selling expensive smoke most of the time.

    • @Vahvafitness
      @Vahvafitness  6 років тому +1

      I think the biggest difference between us is this:
      - We focus more on health, posture and performance. Ido Portal focuses on skill development.
      - We focus more on the stand up and ground work which are the most functional body alignments. Ido focuses a lot more on handstands and hanging which are not bad but just not very functional.
