Our problems are actually opportunities for the citizens to better their lives and contribute to the progress of the nation. Too many unpatriotic citizens who don't want to be a part of the development of their country. If you don't help your country, who will.

Inflation is a global macroeconomic problem right now, it's not unique to Nigeria. That being said - we once had a kind president (Jonathan) that tried to shield us from the broken systems in Nigeria and rebuild via empowerment first (jobs/education/foreign investors). However, Tinubu has decided to rebuild by dismantling all systems/subsidies first, without empowering citizens to cope with the transition. Even the US government provides bail-outs, cash support and interest rate adjustments to businesses and people in hard times. Na wa.

YOU CAN SAY THAT AGAIN, I WILL RATHER GLADLY PREFER OR BE HAPPY TO EARN $10 IN A DAY AND BUY A BAG OF RICE AT N80,000, THAN TO EARN A MINIMUM WAGE OF N30,000 IN A MONTH WHICH IS LESS THAN $25 IN A MONTH AND STILL BUY SAME BAG OF RICE AT N80,000. WHEN WE HERE IN NIGERIAN COMPLAINS THAT THERE IS HARDSHIP AND THAT THINGS ARE EXPENSIVE, DONT LOOK AT US WITH YOUR LEVEL OF INCOME IN USA. THIS ARE REALLY HARD IN NIGERIA. OR WILL I BE HAPPY EARNING N100,000 IN A MONTH WHICH IS LESS THAN $100 AND BUY A BAG OF RICE AT N80,0000.
WE KNOW THAT THERE IS INFLATION ALL OVER THE WORLD BUT THAT OF NIGERIA IS ON THE EXTREM BECAUSE OF THE POVERTY AND WAGE OR INCOME LEVEL OF THE PEOPLE.

Food, water , electricity infrastructure. Severely lacking since I left in the early 80s ! I think the concept of the 4 mile radius served with farm lands to supply those cells with food grown and reared might be a solution. Decentralization. Not easy. With a population of 220 Million compared to 67 Million of the UK, I am amazed that the entire GDP encompasses the entire Africa. Nigeria should be up there with the west but as you and I know, the roadblock are the decision makers.
So much potential squandered through greed and lack of organization.
When people see and here ones foreign accents, Prices for goods and services rise quickly. I haven't been to Lagos for 10 years. I will soon find out what's happening.

I ran away from Nigeria 13 years ago. Now I realized, there’s no place like home. We might not like it because we’ve been brainwashed over the years but if you look deep down, you’ll understand that Nigeria is blessed. I live in USA where majority of folks around me are armed with guns, multiple school and public shootings, underground body parts market, sex trafficking, corrupt government etc. The only good thing about these western countries is that they’ve succeeded in planting hate upon us and our lands. I cannot convince my own brothers that their home is better than another man’s home. It’s a personal choice thing and if you decide to run, make sure you’re happy. Migration is a good thing, don’t destroy a continent or country because of a single experience. Most folks overseas that want to invest and also build Africa are watching these videos, including the white folks you’re running to go live with. What message are we really passing out?
