I have the mini espresso GR2 it just arrived today. But my wife travels for work and I have it so I can use it for when I go with her since I’m medically retired.
I'm not sure what a K cup is, sorry. There's a few different versions available, one that uses coffee grounds, another that uses pods, and another that you can use an adapter with for both ~ Lauren
Are you using boiling water to make you shot @sabine davies? The unit doesnt heat water itself, so whatever temperature the water is to begin with will be the temperature of your espresso shot. ~ Lauren
Great review, a few things, dont fill above line in cup, and you memtioned to give it a rinse under water, however it clearly states in manual to only rinse cup and other 2 parts that come off main body of machine, dont rinse the part where you put the pod, you are only supposed to wipe that clean.
Hi I like the idea, only thing I’m wondering is if you fill the tank with boiling water would that stay hot for a few hours? Like a thermos would keep water hot for a while. That would be great as you can take it with you already prepared with boiling water and have a nice cup of hot coffee a few hours later....
Hmm... this may work, Guv D9GUV, but it certainly isn't designed to be used this way. You'd be best taking hot water in a vacuum flask and making the coffee fresh I reckon. ~ Ben
It is designed specifically for use with Nespresso capsules and compatibles, Ahmed. I imagine refillable capsules that suit the Nespresso system will still work but I'm not sure how well sorry. It might be worth checking with the refillable pod manufacturer to see if they have made their pods to be compatible. ~ Ben
@Tania Boyd, the Nespresso capsules are the ones that will work with this model. Some people have found success with other brands, but its hit an miss. If they're compatible with Nespresso machines you should be fine. ~ Lauren
It delivers a shot of espresso, near6679, in the same manner as a coffee machine is a cafe would. It then needs to be topped up with warmed/steamed milk, or hot water depending on how you like your coffee. If you want a coffee maker to make a full cup of black coffee i.e. a long black, then check out the Aeropress - www.snowys.com.au/aeropress-portable-coffee-maker. ~ Ben
Its a sealed unit @M Lab, so no issues when you turn it upside down, as for pouring water - no more difficult than pouring hot water when you make a normal cup of tea or coffee. ~ Lauren
Have a shot of coffee every time Lauren said Expresso!
Espresso 😀
Good video Lauren
Haha, you'll be jittery by the end. Thanks for the kudos, Tom. ~ Ben

Great to have quality coffee whilst travelling
~ Lauren
That is an excellent pour of water! I would've spilt it everywhere
Hehe, there might have been a few takes to get it right. ~ Ben
I've never wanted an espresso more than I do right now.
With a Wacaco you can have one anywhere. ~ Ben
@@SnowysOutdoors Mate I might order one from you unless it's cheaper here.
What one works with just coffee or like a K cup? Do you have one?
I'm not sure what a K cup is, sorry. There's a few different versions available, one that uses coffee grounds, another that uses pods, and another that you can use an adapter with for both

What do you mean about priming the unit first. I have just bought this gadget and the espresso is not hot enough.

Thanks for your feedback, Solo, we must have missed that detail when preparing for the video. ~ Ben
Can you add more water and repurpose with the same capsule to get mor coffee.
I guess you could, but the extraction would be weak the second time round. ~ Ben
Thanks for posting this!
You're welcome, Angela. ~ Ben
Can you use the Dolce Gusto capsules?
Not sure sorry, SuplhurForLunch, but if they are the same as Nespresso capsules then they should fit. ~ Ben
You cant.
You need the nanopresso with the DG adapter to use them.

I didn’t know these existed. Sold !
Good coffee no matter where your adventures take you, Ian. ~ Ben

How many refills can the machine provide each time? Roughly one cup?

Usually people do have a stove when they're out camping or hiking
~ Lauren
Hi there, so can I use any capsules?
Only Nespresso capsules, or any capsule that is suitable for Nespresso machines, Ksiaki. ~ Ben
Not cool I have to put hot wahtaaaaer in there it’s a no for me
It doesn't have a power source, so it can't heat the water up for you, that's not how it was designed. ~ Ben
Seem like it can cause serious injury with hot water when you pouring also whenyou flip hot water upside down.
Its a sealed unit @M Lab, so no issues when you turn it upside down, as for pouring water - no more difficult than pouring hot water when you make a normal cup of tea or coffee.
~ Lauren
Working with the boiling water handle under her elbow is so dangerous .
Thanks for your concern
~ Lauren
Next time you have someone reviewing an espresso machine, make sure they can actually say espresso
Really helpful advice thanks, Didn't Ask. ~ Ben
This is kind of milking !
Not quite sure what you mean sorry, 27madnoor. ~ Ben
