Please make london live walking videos
why do you choose to film linear, not wide?
The world has become such a insecure place, that people are afraid of being followed by a guy who is just filming on the street.
₩£&€%$@
What kind of camera do you have?
Imagine watching this in 50 years time
Damn....
“Grampa, we found this video on that old website. Was this really what it was like 50 years ago?”
“Ah yes, I remember those days fondly. Used to be you could walk through the town at night without a care in the world.”
“Wow!”
“Of course that was before we invented robot hookers, which led to the Robot BDSM Wars of the 2040’s. Now we can’t go outside without being strangled by them because they think we’re all into that. Why didn’t we program a universal safe word? And why did we design them to look like a busty Arnold Schwarzenegger? Anyway, that’s enough stories for tonight. Grampa’s getting his flashbacks again. Off to bed. Remember to brush your teeth and keep your cyanide pill ready in case they break in. Night night!”
Make it a hundred
In 50 years, cameras can see thru undies

Who’s watching this during quarantine
I am. It's 04.30. I can't sleep. Seeing all these people is bringing back memories of how it used to be. I live in Covent Garden too. It's a shock to the system seeing how busy the streets are compared to now. Let's hope we can get back to sort of normal life soon!
yes, I'm watching this during the lockdown, what was once normal now seems like a distant memory.
Me now 😂😂
I am! Enjoying from NC, USA!
@@Lisa-gy5pw Are US cities so disappointing ?
This actually made me cry. I'm from The Netherlands but have always had the feeling that I belonged in London, like I was born in the wrong place. I've visited London once and want yo go back so so bad. My biggest dream is to live there one day. This made me feel so homesick in a way.
i got the same feeling and also same experience. I'm from Italy and I've always felt like i never truly belonged here. then last summer when i went to London for the first time i realized why. london is the place for me. I've felt out of place my whole life and know that i know why it's even more painful because this dream that i have will probably never come true.
@@elenaspano5067 never say never! I'm 18 now and had this feeling since I was only 10, guess who is moving to London ik 2 years?? Trust me anything is possible!

The rain has added a magical glimmer to beautiful London. This video is spectacularly beautiful to watch, thank you darling x

Best thing I saw today you're so observant
I was born in London and have lived and worked in London all my life. I often take myself off for a walk round the West End, The City and the East End ,the South Bank. The theatres, the galleries, ,the gigs, the museums, the restaurants, the buskers. Day or night it's still as magical to me as when I was a boy. It's the centre of the Universe as far as I'm concerned.
dont be so full of yourself.
@@JohnDoe-fe6nq : Well, he's hardly being full of himself; just telling us he loves the city he was born in, and if you've ever been to London you'll know why. Get over yourself.

A terrific video showcasing London. The rain adds an extra layer of ambiance, further elevating the video and atmosphere. Excellent work, worth the subscription.
Rain at night in a city helps the lights reflect against the water on the ground, makes the floor more colourful to look at instead of the dull grey colour you see in daytime.
I’m glad I’m not the only person out there that finds listening to rain satisfying and relaxing.
London born and bred (43 yrs)! Best city in the world as far as I’m concerned! A world city where everyone feels comfortable no matter who they are or where their from. God bless London Town!!!xx
I agree with you. I'm a Londoner & live in Central London. I love the old streets of London Town. The colourful history. I'm watching during lockdown. It's shocking to see the crowds at the moment. Hope we'll be able to get back to normal soon.
I noticed quite a few English women with mid-east men, that's pretty damn comforting.
@@exit5620 what's the problem?
I’m from Michigan but when I grow up I want to move to london. I’ve visited once and I love the city. Not to mention that Americans don’t know anything about India but in the uk they actually know some stuff about my Indian culture
Yeah I'm 36, London born and bred (Hackney). Live in Essex now, though still work in London (er, in spirit anyway, working from home until we're back haha). Yeah, I love it there and a proud Londoner.
This is where the expression ' in London the streets are paved with gold originates'
If you can imagine when gas light was the source..to a visitor from the smaller towns and villages, on a wet night the reflections of the gas lamposts would create the illusion of streets of gold!
That's pretty cool dude, how surreal that would have been to experience that back in older days
Wtf r u talking about
That's literally not where the expression comes from, if it were, then it would apply to any city with gas lamps and rain. The saying is from Dick Wittington's story in the 14th century, who went to London to seek his fortune, but found the streets were actually filthy.
There were times when I thought I was watching outtakes from Bladerunner. The colours, reflections, bicycles, umbrellas, rain and street life... one of your finest walks!
Thank you Simon!
10:57 The red door on the left, that's Waxy O'Connors. Doesn't look like it from the outside, but it's a HUGE underground Irish pub that's amazing with multiple floors and different areas. Def check it out.
We see no door in the video, because it's dark. But as I remember, it's beside Orient store, right?
come rain or shine , London is sublime .
i have so much nostalgia for London. me and my brother would take the train up there every year. We would go the Tate Britain and the Prince Charles cinema.
we didn't go this year because of coronavirus and we're getting older and he's beginning to have his own life now. I have autism, don't have to many friends and I haven't really interacted with anyone this year because of covid. i hope knows how much i appreciate time we spent with each over going to London a stuff.
i always get weirdly nostalgic towards the end of the year.
Threw this on to the big screen took the cork out of a nice claret and remembered the London of my youth.....thankyou my friend, this was an indescribable pleasure!
That's awesome to hear, cheers Rob!
@Ralph O'Reilly If all you can see are the changes........then I am sad for you.......I see laughter, happiness, old friends......and that feeling of permanence........sometimes the more things change, the more they stay the same!
@@robk5159 @Rob K Plus ca changes! Couldn't agree more. A large city that stays the same year after year would be a very strange thing. What I've noticed in recent years though is the increasing speed and extent of change. I recently revisited a place I knew well and worked in for years but it had changed so much that I just couldn't find my way around there anymore. You can walk down streets and find places you saw only a few weeks beforehand have vanished and been replaced by something else. Some things are more permanent though, like the walk along the South Bank from Westminster Bridge to the Globe and Tate Modern. Great walk on a sunny day! Love the new modern buildings such as the Walkie Talkie, the Gherkin and Cheesegrater but I hope they continue to keep the tall buildings down the City end and don't interrupt the traditional the low-rise skyline. It's always nice to be able to still pick out Saint Paul's.
I miss living in the U.K. so much! I lived in a place called Bury St Edmunds by Mildenhall in East Anglia for two years and would drive to London almost EVERY weekend! AHHH best two years of my life!
I was born in Bury St. Edmunds! My father was in the Air Force however and I've spent most of my life in the US. Though I'm still a British citizen I haven't been back home since I left when I was five years old. Always funny to hear a reference to my home town.
My ex husband was at RAF Mildenhall for 2 years. I then moved to the USA but missed the UK so much we moved back in 1991. He loved the UK.
watching this while in quarantine because I miss walking around London so much. thank you for this!
You’re welcome Natalie 😊
Here I am sitting in Sunny California, San Diego. Perhaps the dream for some people, but all I am longing for is to walk in the rain in London..
I live in London and I've always dreamed of going to California , I wish we could swap! Even if temporarily
Two guys at 11:41 “down it, down it!” 😂😂
the way he totally didn't get in because the plain clothes bouncer reached straight for his earpiece when he heard that
A crowded West End evening in the rain, absolutely gorgeous!
The rain has added something to this video. London looks magical - as it often feels in cold/wet weather whenever we visit.
This is where the expression ' in London the streets are paved with gold originates'
If you can imagine when gas light was the source..to a visitor from the smaller towns and villages, on a wet night the reflections of the gas lamposts would create the illusion of streets of gold!
Simply... amazing!
I'm 15yo. I live in Brazil. It's sad to say but, here, we dont have that freedom to walk around...
And, sure, i believe here is not too pretty like London. My dream is get a nice job, take some money, and moved for London soon. Anyway, all i can do is see these videos and... you know... dream.
(Sorry if i made a mistake, i'm not fluent, and i don't wanna use the Google Translator, haha!)

Why can't you walk around?
@Levi, so, do you speak portuguese, right?
Move to the UK, but London is busy and expensive. There are other great cities too
Great video of the greatest city on this planet, all humanity is there,10 million untold stories of pain, love, truth, lies, desperation, joy,

My dream is to visit London one day. Your videos are wonderful.
Do visit London. It's a city full of history and wonder. It's my city. I love it. I love the streets, I love the squares, I love the parks, I love the people.
won't have this buzz and atmosphere now...it's a ghost town now, very sad to see. You realize it's the people who make the city without them it's a big empty space
2020 - I used to live/work in the California Bay Area but I temporarily moved back home to shelter-in-place with my folks. They live in a small town along the north coast & I haven't been going out. Discovered your video & watched the whole thing this Friday night listening to some of my favorite jazz in the background. It sounds funny but you reminded me what it's like to live in a world where people exist. I'll be watching more & thank you for the tour!
how did you get the job in cali
49:50 On the right that's Kingly Court. One of my favourite places to hang out with a bunch of bars and restaurants in this cool little court that has a bunch of levels. Shoryu Ramen is awesome, so is Pizza Pilgrims and there's an underground bar that has one of the original tube stations called Cahoots.
Being addicted to these videos is freaking me out.
I like the wet floor signs during the obvious rain.
i love london............... i think this line is very short to express that how much i love this city
for me london sucked.
a city full of joy and amazingly hospitable people! If you go there as a tourist , Londoners look you in the eye , when you speak to them or ask for directions , as if to say "where you been mate, welcome back" You cant make that up! You got to go there to the West End , to see for yourself !
Just amazing how vividly you captured the atmosphere .
My favorite city ever, you can’t begin to describe how it makes you feel. Can’t wait to go back once this madness is over.

im moving to London on new year's day and making ur videos makes me so excited..cant wait!
Wow. I really enjoyed that. The reflections in the rain are amazing! Rain makes for a beautiful street scene. In fact a lot of my paintings are set in London in the rain when it’s dark. I have not been painting for a while but this has given me an appetite to get my paints and canvas out! Thanks for sharing your walk with us :)

Interesting reading some of these comments, how positively visitors view our wet weather!! Give me a dry night any day.
Thank you so much for these videos. Watching these during quarantine in my home country gave me so many flashbacks of all my beautiful memories back when I was in London.

Aw thank you so much, I really enjoyed filming this one, I love that type of atmosphere.

Waw l'endroit en plein nuit avec de la lumière et la pluie, c'est magnifique.
I'm in love with this city, and everytime I visit it a fall in love more and more. The quality of this video is so good I can imagine myself walking down those streets
This channel is a treasure. I love cities. It's amazing how you are documenting the experience of walking through regular streets of a city. These will stand the test of time.
WOW! This is dazzling. Cities become magical places at night. The cobblestone streets become necklaces of gemstones. The colors are so saturated and glimmering in the rain, it's almost otherworldly! Harry Potter and crew would fit right in. Thanks for taking us along!
Well marked with colors. Good optics give a good picture even at night.
Thanks for sharing the beautiful video.
Because of these we are able to virtually visit the places that has not been possible for us to explore in real life yet.
Just honestly...what a GREAT sidewalk work they've done, it looks majestic and perfect, classic yet somehow futuristic as well i dont know why.

London's West End on a Saturday night looks like a lot of fun even on a rainy night. Brilliant!
Thank you WW for braving the rain and capturing the hussle and bussle of the west end at night in the pouring rain. The glistering pavements and the relection at night makes London a whole different place from the daytime.
Everybody with a umberella outside Hippodrome was like a scence from Blade Runner.
Hope you had good waterproofs on WW. Excellent HD Quality yet again.
Cheers PF, the rain wasn’t too bad, I was hoping for worse! The umbrella kept me fairly dry as there wasn’t much wind. I love the look of the lights reflecting on the pavements, it reminded me of BR too (awesome film) - just needed a few replicants walking the streets!
Very Beautiful Rain
I Love London
The colour grading for this is sublime!

Another great job!!! 👏👏👏
So great to visit London just by watching your youtube channel!
A wonderful walk. Thank you dear friend for your work. It is with great pleasure that I "walk with you" through the beautiful evening of London. I wish you health and all the best!
Aw thank you, happy to have you along for the walk :)
My annual visits to London in the 1980s were at Xmas, and the pedestrians were far fewer than we see in this video, although the major shopping streets were shoulder-to-shoulder. Elsewhere in town, I found it much easier to get around. I stayed at the Shaftesbury Hotel, now called the Piccadilly, which is handy to the West End theaters.
The quality of this is amazing. The lights on the wet pavement look like an impressionist painting.
London is the only place in the world where rain is nice :)
So wonderful to watch this... takes me back. Live in Toronto but love London.
London is so beautiful at night. Love it. Subscribed 👍

I studied in London for one year and that was amazing, I still remember visiting Turner's painting in National Gallery, watching Les Miserable right in front of China street. It has been three years since the last visit, this video really made me homesick. Missing London sooooo much.

Beautiful atmosphere, would love some of that rain ☔ in Spain! 🇪🇸
It's a nice night view.Awesome video. Thank you for sharing it'my friend
This video is so amazing, there are many, many beautiful details in London, and it under the night wing, cloud cover, raindrops .. Rain with city lights reflected on the small water gatherings is make London like a Christmas city, where the lights are everywhere, the voices of people, The cars roar like Christmas carols.😍😍👌👌
The rain made the movement of people's bodies more elegant as they walk, because when they carry umbrellas they make their bodies as straight as possible to be under the umbrella, and also their feet move at steady steps as they walk, they lift it and do not pull it so that their shoes and clothes do not wet.. The rain made the movement of people's bodies like the movement of the aristocracy where the back is taut, the head raised, the steps steady and not seesaw
Also, the sound of London is changing significantly. I mean the noise of the city in London is changing its vibrations. This makes me remember the Germans when they discovered that the sound of London changed when the weather changed, the Germans were able to know the climate of London by ringing the bells of Big Ben, where the sound vibrations of a clock Big Ben changes when London's atmosphere becomes cloudy, and in this way the Germans took advantage of this note to determine the right time to bomb London.. London Radio was broadcasting the ringing of Big Ben's bells at every hour, providing news
And this video proves this information to me, because the sound layer of the noise of the city of London changes significantly, as if London speaks in multiple languages, or the tone of its noise changes as the weather changes
London is a very wonderful city, and very amazing .. make people do not want to waste their time waiting for the rain stop, London and through the lights of its shops fascinate them and make them want to wander around without being stopped by rain, but rain gives London more beauty and magic irresistible
There are many, many beautiful details in this video, and a good movement when you allowed us to see London under the darkwing .. Thank you very much🌹
I visited from Miami in 2018 and was amazed at how pedestrian friendly and the number of things to do there is. Truly a wonderful place to see once in your life!

Cheers John :)
