I’ve seen a few reactions to the trailers and no one gets excited at those shots of them walking the snow and at The Wall. I was hyped when I saw it.

@@itss_nattyjive watched like 20 reactions and most of them get excited to see the wall and the north, even though it was stated in season 1 that Jace would go north? Also you can see Cody had a look on his face when the wall came up, but it makes sense they didn't get too hyped because they filmed this minutes after watching the last episode, so Jace being sent north is fresh in their minds.

The war is long and complicated. It'll take them 3-4 seasons to finish. I think, personally, Season 2 is part 1 of the main war, Season 3 is part 2, and Season 4 is the aftermath disaster with more fighting until it ends finally

@@DanLanningPRTeam At some points, yes. Not introducing all kids was such a bad decision. Now they show Moondancer and Sunfyre but this should have been done in S1. Especially Helaena was just a walking spoiler with her visions. At least one scene where shes vibing with Dreamfyre before B&C happens. The only characters ppl root for are Daemon and Rhaenyra because they didnt characterize all the kids and Alicent is insecure about every decision she makes and she never takes a clear side.

It was low-IQ slop, it only marginally increased in quality on the back half of the season.

Season 2 is only 8 Episodes long because of the success Season 1 had... initaliy they planed to do it all in 3 seasons but because of the success they expanded it to 4 seasons so its like s2.1 and s2.2 with each one having 8 episodes instead of season 2 having 10
i dont like that its being stretched to 4 when you could have a actioned packed 3 season show they gonna do other shows in the universe anyway dunk and egg and aegon's conquest already greenlite
I assumed it was due to budget. Having less episodes means the budget per episode extends from 20 to 25 mill. HBO probably couldn't afford to increase the season budget for some reason.

He quite literally tries to abandon his family before war breaks out. He asks for a ship, probably would've sailed to essos/lys for the brothels and wine. Also, he has a dildo collection. Nobody wants a sexually perverse king who assaults young girls. Sure, you could argue once he realizes being king might be cool he loses some of that previous cowardice we see displayed. But then his eagerness leads to the suffering of his dragon. He disregards Sunfyre's wellness and wishes for a better dragon. I don't think they'll be surprised by his actions at all. He only gets worse from here, to the point where his people poison him.

Alicent's interpretation of Viserys's words are irrelevant. The small council was putting Aegon on the throne regardless. As Rhaenys said repeatedly, the realm will never accept a woman.
And not just that. She herself in the earlier episodes had a dialogue with Aegon, forcing him the idea of usurping his sister's throne and that he is the rightful king or whatever bs and when Otto said they were already planning to support the usurper she had a shocked pikachu face. I'm very excited for this season, I think there's a very good chance Aegon will become a fan favourite. Either you'll love him or you'll love hating him, I found his character in the book very entertaining and they've got a great actor on that role so it's looking good.

First of all no one other than Viserys and Rhaenyra knows about Aegons prophecy
Just for a split second forget what teams you support and lets recall back to episode where Hunt took place and Viserys standing infront of huge pyre tells Alicent about his dream of seeing his sons sits on thrones and he starts doubting Rhaenyra and cut back to episode where he tells Alicent about Aegons prophecy and a prince sitting on Iron thrones, Alicent being someone who don't know about Aegons prophecy could easily misunderstood it even Daemond had no idea about Aegons prohecy and he chokes Rhaenyra when she tolds Viserys hadn't share the prophecy with him.

And secondly, even if she didn't mention about Viserys last words, the Council would still declare Aegon King, which they have previously planned without her consent

It's clear that the council would have crowned Aegon anyway, but that doesn't matter. Rhaenyra's claims are more legitimate. The Hightowers control the Crownlands and the Citadel, it is clear that they have enough influence to crown Aegon, Aemond, or any other Targaryen.

I fucking love Alicent. She’s the most interesting character to me and Olivia Cooke is brilliant. Rhys Ifans is a legend as Otto and I absolutely adore Tom Glynn Carney and Ewan Mitchell so I don’t mind watching the Greens one bit. Ultimately, I’m Team Alicent though so it’ll be fun to see my girl shine in season 2 once again.😊

I have to say, I'm not a huge fan of the whole "Team Black vs Team Green" promotional stuff. I think the story is not about that and it simplifies complex relationships. This feels like promo for the later seasons of Thrones. But I still hope it's more promotional to get the people interested.
It really depends on what they do this season with the green characters cause most of the viewers are team black but if they make aegon atleast somewhat likeable this season that’s a w because other than that r*pe that’s alluded to in episode 8 he was honestly pretty funny with him being mean to rhaenyra kids as alicents fault and team black has daemon which did stuff as bad as aegon imo so with aemmond and alicent being complex characters i think with season 2 being able to expand on them and after blood and cheese i think team green which is stronger than I thought honestly being that they definitely were more villains than antagonists in season 1 season 2 forward can be really special

The team division has been intentional by the producers and writers the whole time. Season 1 had as far as I can tell there's two big deliberate choices made to enflame the debate:
-For Team Black: No one, not Even OTTO, explicitly mentions that trying to pass off bastards as legitimate heirs to the throne is High Treason. While Viserys pays lip service to Westerosi monarchy not being absolute, but the show never lets the audience know that legally Rhaenyra is supposed to be dead way before Viserys passed away. All of Rhaenyra's claims accusations of treason are projection
-For Team Green: they made the Velaryons black, thus making the bastardry of Rhaenyra's first three children absolutely obvious. In the books, it's based off of hair color like with Cersei's children, but because of the intermixed bloodlines of the great houses there's some plausible deniability.
As far as why people are team green, perhaps consider they have read the book and know what’s coming…
The show has clearly been pro black so far, but I suspect that will change…
That’s one of my biggest criticisms of season 1, they wanted the audience to be team black/green, but clearly made one side more sympathetic than the other, which I hope upcoming series we see the tide change and by the end people ultimately think green was the best of a bad bunch.

The whole thing with Alicent misinterpreting Viserys' words is irrelevant and isn't canon (it didn't happen in the book) - and even without that Aegon would have been crowned anyway...
Remember in Ep.9 when Alicent and Otto told the green council about Viserys' last words and someone on the council said "now we may proceed with our long laid plans" - they were going to crown Aegon no matter what, even if Rhaenyra was in the Red Keep they probably would've killed her or imprisoned her and crowned Aegon.
Otto had been planning this since Ep.1, the whole reason he pushed Alicent towards Viserys was so that they would be married and she would give him a son and then Otto would do anything in his power to see his grandson on the throne - which he did.
I'm on no ones side by the way, the amount of death and calamity this war brings for both sides and the realm is horrendous.
If anything I'm on the side of the innocents, and the dragons - who suffer greatly from this war

It’s not much of a victory considering pretty much everyone died, along with the dragons. That’s the point, there were no winners, it ruined their house.

Reasons for the Green Team:
1. Alicent's errors are irrelevant. Everyone else on the Green Team wants to see Aegon as king because that's the millennia-old tradition.
2. The Great Council decision (episode 1) confirmed that the vast majority of lords don't believe in female power and don't want to see the Queen on the throne.
3. Rhaenyra wants to make bastards her heirs. This is a crime, even if her father approves of it.
4. Daеmon is the worst person on earth right now.
5. Aegon is a foolish and reckless teenager, but his advisors are far more competent than Rhaenyra's advisors. The Green Council has run the country for the last 30 years and the country has prospered.
6. We object to royal absolute power. For me, tradition stands higher than royal will. If you think otherwise, explain what royal power itself is based on, if not tradition?
7. Rhaenyra is a very foolish person. She has turned not only Criston against herself, but literally all the lords she has interacted with personally. As a child, she did nothing but whine and coddle the nobles while Alicent and Otto looked for allies. She wanted to marry Daemon so badly that she turned House Velaryon, her strongest allies, against her. If it weren't for the plot armor, Corlys would have chosen neutrality. Compare that to the Greens: when Viserys died, they already had the entire capital and several great lords in their hands. Rhaenyra had NONE. Even to her closest relatives (the Baratheons) she had to send ambassadors already after the war started. That's so stupid.

As a neutral who enjoys characters from both sides, you have no idea how good Aegon II is. And you overestimate Rhaenyra a bit too much. Pound for pound, Aegon II was better. If not Daemon, the blacks would be in shambles.

I just like the green ones the way they are. Initially, no one idealized them. Almost everyone from this faction has been fighting for something all their lives, be it the love of a husband/father, recognition in society, power. Did it work? Not always, because these are not ideal characters who BREATHE and don’t shit rainbows. Alicent, in principle, turned out to be the most complex character for the writers, who really respected family and the law all her life, but they only wiped their feet on her. She was faithful to Viserys to the last day, worried about the honor of the Targaryens and gave her husband milk of the poppy, not to poison his mind, but to deprive him of pain. You haven't forgotten that the old man was missing half of his face? Here is his flighty daughter, yes. All her life Rhaenyra did what she wanted. Her father broke the law for her sake, but instead of learning to rule and being careful with her reputation, she slept with a guardsman, gave birth to bastards and did not even try to hide it. When Harwin died, the very next day she slept with Daemon at his wife's funeral, because without him the throne would not have been given to her. Having deprived the Velaryons of a direct heir, she slipped her son into Driftmark. When her son cut out Aemond's eye, Rhaenyra accused him of slander, which was punishable by death. After their marriage to Daemon, they left for Dragonstone and abandoned Viserys, knowing that he was sick, knowing that the Hightowers ruled the capital. But when the question of inheritance arose, Rhaenyra suddenly woke up. I am laughing. And people who praise Daemon but hate Aegon give me the creeps. Daemon killed his wife and child, tried to seduce his niece for the sake of the crown, and then abandon her, attracts houses to his side with the threat of burning (a good couple with Daenerys, lol). Did Aegon kill someone, threaten someone? He was made out to be a brainless drunk, when he really is the main dark horse in the story. Helaena is basically a bun who didn't deserve her fate. By the way, it is paradoxical that Viserys all his life honored the traditions of his family and spoke with reverence about the dreamers Targaryens, but he did not notice this in his own daughter. Or didn’t want to see... Of the black team, I only love Jace and the Velaryons. The only people from the hypocritical faction who always tried to act according to their conscience and this did not contradict their words. Although Corlis... For her difficult life, Alicent should be "grateful" only to her father. Everything you listed does not negate the fact that Rhaenyra should inherit the throne. Just because she has bastards doesn't mean they will sit on the throne, she can make one of her legitimate children by Daemon her heir - that should have been a problem for the next generation, not the current one.
Alicent is accused not of deliberately giving the king poppy milk, but of being foolish enough to take the words about Aegon spoken by the king in such a state as something serious. We can even forget about the fact that she misunderstood them as well.

Yall need to check A Kight of rhe Seven Kingdoms. Its a set of novellas that follows Sir Duncan the Tall and Egg his squire. Sir Duncan is Brienne's granfather if that gives timeline indication. The three novellas were condensed together into one book. It is now in production as a prequel series for HBO. I cant wait to see it. Loved the books.

Season 2 is only 8 episodes, but that doesn't mean it's shorter. Because of how GOT ended, the studio was unsure whether or not this new show would be a success, that's why season 1 crammed 20 years in 10 episodes. It could and, arguably, should have been 2 seasons. But the writers were rushed to get to the Dance. (That said, what they achieved in only 10 hours is amazing, and really speaks to the talent of the writing team imo).
However, after HBO saw how well season 1 performed, they expended the originally planned 3-4 seasons to what is now, probably 5. As a result, seasons 2&3 will be 8 episodes each, but that, in effect, means that we're getting 16 instead of 10 episodes to see the same story told.
Also, some episode will be 70 minutes or longer, so in terms of hours of content, the difference is not that big from season 1.
I am scared that the series will make Aegon just like Joffrey.
I didn't like that in season 1 they made team black (except Daemon) vanilla. These characters are supposed to be complex.

Aegon is firstborn living son of Viserys. He is legitimate heir because of line of succession and traditions not only because of Alicent misunderstood Viserys.
