Great to see another Fordson saved and a great instructional video. Good luck on the remainder of the job. You'll have it running soon.

Great video! I had one of these old Fordsons and it is what they say; all Fordson owners go to heaven because they've already experienced hell on earth. Good luck with the rest of the project, looking forward to seeing it!

Same, was surprising. Can't always judge a book by its cover eh!

I agree. Those cylinders will be just fine from what I can see. Will provide better lubrication anyway...

I wonder if you could get an inductive heating loop around that stuck guide. several heat cool cycles may help break up that rust bond. at the guides Ferrous?

You could potentially get an induction loop on the bottom of it depending on the induction device. I have since heated it several times with MAP gas, I don't want to go too crazy (such as oxy-acet) as I don't want to risk damaging the block; still no success. The thing is really in there, I will likely end up machining it out of the block.

Get the block as warm as you think is safe, then cool the guide through its hole, either by ice water or freeze spray, thermal expansion of the block and contraction of the guide may be enough for a gap to form.

@@sthenzel good advice, sadly I've tried this to no avail. She's in there tight.

I'm with you - I've seen way worse walls on much higher compression engines work just fine with some tedious honing.

Do you think there's going to be any more videos of this fordson? I really like where it's going.

Absolutely, life has been pretty crazy and this project needed to be put on pause. It will certainly be finished hopefully sooner than later as it's plugging the lift bay in my shop!

I think you mean tanks as it look's like a petrol start . then switch to T>V>O ie travtor vaperissn oil just not critising

Virtually all F model Fordsons were designed to burn kerosene or the like. Later Fordsons had duel compartment tanks, but earlier ones such as this had a small cast starting tank down on the side. The main fuel tank, as such, is single compartment. This being a Holley 280 manifold will run fine to cruise around shows on gasoline / petrol.
