영어로 댓글 써도 될까요? I was living in Korea when martial law was last declared there some 45 years ago now. I remember that time vividly. Most people living in the United States have never had to experience life under martial law, and, as a result, we have developed a sense of complacency and tend to take our freedoms for granted. While I was shocked and heartbroken by the news out of Korea last week - and by the ongoing unfolding of the situation - I am also humbled and inspired by the courage and strength of the Korean citizens to take bold action in order to safeguard their democracy. The people of Korea and its leaders are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
