I don't think Godraks rampage has to only target a monster with companion weapons. If the target has a companion weapon you MUST pick that, however you can pick a different weapon if it has no companion weapons.
I personally think it's less of a problem that the Maw-Krushas are worse than Kragnos, and more of a Kragnos being able to delete a monster on the charge is broken, not fun, OP and NPE. There's definitely adjustments that I would make to the MKs, but I don't think they're that far off the mark. Both mounts should be rend 2 static. No weapon ability. MBoMK smash through should be add D3 to pile in moves and power through command ability. Kragnos should be D6XD3 that would make him less broken. Gordrakk is not that bad. Just fix his mounts rend to 2.
If you really want rend 2 take the Amberbone. Not sure it's worth it. I tried it with the Goron Regiment for an additional 1 rend most of the time. Still not really worth it. His only value feels like taking a tuskboss with prise warbeast and amberbone
In third edition you could move that thin thrice in a turn. Basically being able to move him Up that you would end behind the enemy army. Very stupid and thankfully gone
Companion attacks only get something positive if it names companion attacks get it. Like stormcast vigolors give your army +1 to hit but not you companion attacks. AoA gives +1 to both. No maw krusha companions don't gain:(

Was about to comment on this as well. It reduces the ATK profile of a monster straight up. Only if it has a companion, you have to pick it.

And maybe: Hero Phase: If a MC is on the Table, Pick 2 additional target for mighty Destroyer.

They do suck. You can make them rend 3 vs infantry now but it's not worth it.
