Hi… I love how you used the products you used for this. I love the freedom and abandon of Dina’s art but my structured brain struggles to create that way so I have a very limited supply of her products although I do have most of her paints (love), Scribble sticks (a work in progress) and Gloss Sprays (NOT a fan)… I am so impressed with how you layered those front pieces that I have to get some of those transparencies. Thanks for sharing your creativity and inspiration. I will look forward to future video with these signatures. Have a great day! 🙂
Yes, her paints are great. Every time I use them I wonder why I don't use them more often. I'm not a huge fan of the scribble sticks or the gloss sprays either. But I think a lot of it is lack of practice and knowledge on my part. I did something yesterday with the scribble sticks and once it dried, I really liked the look of it!
Loved watching you play today! If you use transparent gesso on the kraft, things won't soak in.also you can use her ultra thick on the transparencies, it dries clear and won't show.
It was fun watching you play with Dina's products, and also interesting because your approach to the blank page was different. I'm looking forward to more videos with these products; and by the way, she does have black heavy body acrylic and gloss spray. 😊
Thank you so much! So how was my approach to the blank page different? I'm curious. Please let me know. We hardly ever recognize things about ourselves. I KNOW! I went on the Ranger website and saw that she had black!!!! I was SHOCKED! Gonna have to get some!
@@DeniseLush It seemed to me like you were a bit overwhelmed by all the products you have and that you hadn't used, so you were more tentative when you started working, but then you found your flow.
Really enjoyed watching you play with the supplies. While I’m familiar with Dina Wakley products, I don’t think I’ve ever actually watched her create..not sure why. I know mixed media artists I’ve been watching go crazy over her stuff and her journals are always out of stock. No need to apologize for long videos. We can always save to watch at another time. I would much rather watch your entire creative process than have you edit it down because that’s the interesting and inspiring part to me. Of course I always like the final product. I do have to admit that I clean all of my stencils, gel plates, stamps and other supplies, but I like seeing how “loved” the stencils look when they are not cleaned-I’m just not there, yet.. (You don’t even want to know how far I used go to clean ink off of my wood stamps when I first started stamping). Waiting to see more.
You learn a lot in Dina's videos. I've been watching a few over the last few days. She is a great teacher. Thank you for what you said about the long videos. A part of me thinks, hey if they don't want to take so long to watch it, speed me up! lol That's what I do to most videos. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being clean. I wish I was more clean. lol
Happy to see you do some Dina play! I love what you did. Dina‘s gel medium has a long open time, so if you change your mind, you can move things around. You can also use it on the transparencies. Dina doesn’t clean much, but always cleans acrylic paint off her stamps. I can’t remember the rest of your questions.
lol I asked a lot of questions so it's okay. lol So will you see the medium on the other side of the transparency when it dries? Glad you enjoyed the Dina play too!
I think you did a great job using Dina's paints and stamps, I've have to say that the quality of Dina's products are fantastic compare to other brands. I love her mediums and the paints are very vibrant. Her style is different, if you don't have the Artistic mind of an Artist with a particular style is very difficult to accomplish the brain works differently for everybody. Don't stop using Dina's paints and supplies just have fun :)
Thank you so much! I am trying. I am also trying to get out of my head that what I create doesn't have to look like Dina. It's going to some extent look like hers because it's her products but I'm trying to remember it's okay to do it my way. However that is. lol Thanks so much for taking the time to comment.

Oh thank you! Awesome tips!!!
Loving this style 😍 in my head I’m making all kinds of stuff like that 😂😂😂 if only I could find the energy to do it live too 😅🤣
lol too funny.
Thanks so much.

I was overwhelmed.
Love what you are creating and cannot wait to see more. thank you for sharing Denise
Thank you so much Deena!
I love how you made the journal from the journal. It’s so cute❣️❣️
Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it!

Use a gloss medium, matte medium has an added powder to the binder to make it matte. Gloss medium will dry transparent.
Really! Thanks for the info
Using a gel gloss medium works the best the fluid one in a bottle moves around to much hope that’s helps
If ya know Dana wakley’s products, you could always fast forward through the first part. Loved the video.
This looked so fun! I definitely like exploring new products!!!
Thank you
Oh my gosh I didn’t want you to stop! Your page is looking lovely.
Aww Thank you so much 🙂
I totally answered all your questions throughout the video. 😂 I enjoyed watching you play with the Dina stuff. 💜💜
But I couldn't hear your answers!!!! lol
@@DeniseLush darn, I was hoping it would help. I’ll work on the telepathy. 😉💜
Yes, try harder. Lol
I’m the opposite, I love the little Kraft journal and hate the big one. All my gloss sprays are going to a friend because I hate the mess they make.
funny. You don't find the pages hard to work on?
I'm wondering if I will use the gloss sprays more now that they have a dropper. We'll see.
The Kraft is lots more absorbent, so I usually gesso it, using clear gesso.

Thanks for some inspiration today!😁
You are so welcome!
