Love John. Ecstasy was a favorite ship. Love the smaller ship. Real teak deck. Atrium lights change color. Cruised 4x on thos ship. So sad to see her go
This video brought a tear to my eye. The legacy that the Carnival Ecstasy will forever have is legendary. The fantasy class ships are truly the most revolutionary and game-changing cruise ships ever built, not to mention that they are the most successful class of ship in history. You can see the pride and admiration the captain has for the Ecstasy. She was a lady of the sea and will be forever missed. Gone but never forgotten.
😢 here’s to Ecstasy! And also to her Fantasy class sisters before her, including my First Lady of the Sea, Sensation way back when she was but 2 years old, who because of the pandemic, were not able to have a farewell of their own, may Ecstasy’s farewell stand in as a way for us to say goodbye. I never sailed her, but I have sailed on 1/2 the Fantasy class. Farewell Ladies!
Very well said, I agree the Carnival Ecstasy was so emotional for a lot of people because the pandemic stole the other ships without even a goodbye. We had one of the best experiences on the final sailing that cannot be replicated.
I was on that cruise. The very last sailing. She will forever be remembered, I was standing right in front of the jogging track facing "The Famous Whale Tail". When he blew the whistle for THE LAST TIME 😢😢😢
@@joedq awesome, we love the small ships as well. The only fantasy class ship that we didn’t get to go on was the Sensation. We are hoping to do the Elation & Paradise again before they are gone forever.
I have seen the earlier submissions from the deck where you watched and listened. This was actually harder to watch as the horn was sounded for the last time. Outstanding video, FH, outstanding!!!!
Thanks Don, we used a couple of different videos to make it happen. It really was a special moment. We actually bid on the auction for the final horn but unfortunately missed out on it. It would of been great for Lil man to push it for the final time!
She was still beautiful until the end. We only have a handful of Carnival ships that we haven't been on now. We are focused on going on them in the near future. Thanks for watching!
They said primarily because of age and the fact it doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles that the newer larger ships have. We prefer the small to mid ships though.

We had tears in our eyes as well. A very special moment indeed. I’m glad that we have it captured.
Fabulous… My Mom and I cruised together also. She was a great cruise companion, and I miss her a lot now that she has passed on.
Sorry for your loss, do you still cruise from time to time?
John is such a natural at coming up with a speech on the fly
He really is, 35+ years of fun will do that though ☺️
I sailed the Ecstasy 3 times..what fun! Miss the neon lit promenade
Nothing like the Ecstasy atrium and piano bar with all the neon light. Simply amazing.
That guy will have that memory forever
For sure and he will be in Carnival’s history as well!
She has a soul of her own!!!
Amazing horn sound
Indeed it is! It will never get old.

We were right there with you! We miss her already!
I always ♥️ enjoyed cruising on the Ecstasy. Will miss her. 😢
Same! We are hoping to get on her sister ships before they are sold/scrapped.
@@funnelheads I sailed on the Fantasy twice as well, so 2 ships I have cruised on have been scrapped. I personally like the smaller ships.

First ship I ever sailed on. I was really amazed that he was NOT READING that.
Same! I actually watched it several times looking for a script somewhere. Thanks for watching!
He’s been a cruise director for his entire life, and his skills show here.
