- The theme from the Last of the Mohicans, also known as Promontory, or The Gael, makes a great, easily recognisable fiddle tune. In this lesson I demonstrate the simple melody, and show how the ornamentation can be varied to good effect for variety and convenience. I also show the melody up an octave.
