Love the vids, some of the most enjoyable fishing videos I’ve seen, been using the method feeder recently to target carp over 20+ lbs and having great results
I wouldn’t care about what others think about the way you use your method feeder set up. I like watching your vids. No affiliation to any company, just a bloke who likes fishing and sharing it with others. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Tip westy, have a bucket of water in front of you to quickly rinse your hands after you've applied your feed to the feeder, saves getting your rod full of bait and gear full of bait.
@@darrengallagher2098 maybe like 8 / 10 pegs. Never actually counted 🙈 I’ve never had a bad day there personally, some really good carp in both lakes. With a specimen lake off to the side 👍🏻
@@darrengallagher2098 don’t think so mate… recently got refurbished and I’ve only fished on that back lake. Plenty of good carp/F1 Caught maybe 10 on the pole around the 5-8lb
Great video & review, as usual. My only concern when fishing 2 method rods - when (as with your first carp) you’re unhooking & admiring your fish on the mat, your other rod could easily get a bite, be dragged in, or the fish could snag itself before you can get to it. Also you would then have to leave the unhooked fish unguarded. At least with bite alarms, you could hear a bite on your other rod. 👍🏻🎣
Very True Ken ! Always a risk and sometimes I do fish with bite alarms and specimen rods for this reason. It’s rare I have issues I usually just slacken off my drag or open my bail arm quickly but like you say a fish could get into snags in that short time but I also fish heavy line for this reason and I have confidence I’d be on the other rod before that happened. I use Preston innovation grips to stop my rods being dragged off the rest and a slag drag, but if you think about it you could have the same issue fishing two rods on bite alarms , you could be off unhooking one and the other shoots off on the bait-runner into some snags. You are right though it’s a risk either way ! Thanks for commenting and watching Ken ☺️
nice video guys...ya tempted a few fish...but that groundbait gave you a few probs sticking!..i use the Spotted Fin Smokey Jack Ready Method Pellets 2mm 2kg...perfect everytime ya mould em ..plus they have other flavours ..a tenner a tub!..im getting lazy in my older years...tight lines...
Your videos are highly watchable interesting and presented very well great stuff. Watching for vids however are becoming expensive as I've bought a caperlan chair and ordered 2 identical rods lol
Great video west’s . I could see you was having problems with the ground bait f1 green, dark, and original are not really method ground baits. Try the sonubaits match method range all top quality. 👍
Eh up mate, if you're over scarborough area try rosedale, 20lbers come out regularly. Caught my 14lb on a method other day and fought like a wild orse 🤣. Class video though and good idea reviewing the fisheries 👏
Hi buddy, I too like to use a method feeder on quiver tips but in all your videos I've never heard you mention what size of quiver you use. Do you change up depending on the conditions similar to myself. My go to as a start is 2oz but fishing my club lake where the carp go to 15lb I switch up to a 6oz. Interesting topic weight of tips. Alan.
I tend to stick to 1.5/2oz, I match it to the feeder weight I use. I never really use less than a 30g/40g feeder, so I stick to the same tips. If I used a 20g I’d probably use a 1oz tip etc etc
Hi, can you let me know where you bought your chair feeder arm from? Just started fishing a venue which doesn't allow bank sticks, I've got a small tripod, but like the look of your setup. I only ever use one rod at a time, but love to fish float & method.
Hope you are both well 👌🏻 I’m going to have a go on there this week! Hopefully catch ! I think I will try krill wafter for the sturgeon, they don’t allow meat.
@@WestysAngling hope you catch some sturgeon buddy … I’ve never fished for them .. but we have cudmore just up the road .. they have them in there specimen pool..plus big catfish..might even have a go one time .. cheers 🍻 cheers Chris & Sam

You’ve got me back on feeder fishing following your tips, had a very successful 3 weeks and plenty of carp!
That’s great news Paul !!! Definitely my favourite way to fish. Thanks for commenting !
Have u re viewed OAKFIELD at Farington yet ?

I have started using method feeders from watching you on hear and had loads of fish and started making my own ground bait ok.
I've fished here loads of times, micro or 4mm pellets are really good on the feeder
We're going to the match lake sunday. How's it fishing? How many pegs does it have.
@darrengallagher2098 I don’t think the match lake ever fishes badly ! Should be prime at the moment 🎣 I’m not sure on pegs buddy sorry !
Great little place stoat hall.
I go all the time and fish on the pole.. will always catch!

When you put your rod together, try to hold the top section a lot closer to the joint end! It will help a lot and prevent rod damage.
Used to love fishing top three kit there then shipping out like mad
Seen and heard a few good things about Devine fishery in Accrington going to give it a try on method next week see what it’s about, love the vids 🙌🏻

Hi Stewart, it came with the Caperlan feeder chair ! Cheap enough and good quality!
Thanks for that, I've already got the chair, it's just the matter of finding one that fits, as opposed to a box.
is that the dip tank next to the shed looks low too
I would not have dipped a net in there ! Probably do more harm than good it was like thick green sludge, awful 😂

Shimano speedmaster 9-12ft and Daiwa crossfire/ninja 4000 reels. Thanks for watching Raymond !
