Nice retro asmr :D. I got one of those too. Considering fixing it or just selling. Battery is very very dead and leaky and some belts from the casette player seem loose. The rest seems working though and I wrote some basic programmes. Really fun.
@@michaelwessel4953 Hey I took out the battery and replaced the belt. Only the main belt though. it seems to run normal now. But I still cant read from the tape (stuck at "busy"). Just writing seems to work. Not sure if the tape is dead or the "read head". I'm just gonna sell it anyways. But its a really fun device. I wrote some basic programmes and they exexcuted fine. If I was born 20 years earlier I could see myself having a blast with that as a kid :D
@@MattFixesStuff they are neat little machines! Of limited utility these days, but back in the day, they were magic. I never had one as a kid, but a friend of mine had a Sharp PC-1500. I now have a rather large collection of Sharp pocket computers, including the CE-1500(a). Hmm, yeah, fixing them can be challenging... well, maybe get yourself a broken CE-125 from eBay and get a new tape recorder and/or mainboard from there. That's what I do... most of them are "untested", and if you are lucky, you can get one for as cheap as 35 $ or so. Good luck!
@@michaelwessel4953 Yeah I would just try another cassette and changing the read head. But I have 7 nintendo switches that I need to fix curretnly. So I'll just sell this to someone who will treat it nicely. Its in very good condition and i'm glad I got to play with it :) Still a sweet calculator for flea markets or something though :D. You could write like a little programme to make invoices for example. It's just so cool. maybe i'll sleep over it before I sell it.
@@michaelwessel4953 ... stimmt. Ich hatte die Programme fpr einen Biorhythmus für den C64 im Programm. Das war so ein billiger Schnellschuss, wurde aber gekauft.

@MattFixesStuff yeah please remove the battery and replace the belt. The CE-125 will thank you with many more years of service.
