@masterpatric07 I never bought a Gioeli album .... because I' heard his voice on youtube before and after that, I didn't want to buy one of his albums ... But maybe the first is good ....
@masterpatric07 Yngwie Malmsteen had two albums which were barely recognized, and mainly in Europe. In that day and age you couldn't get access to much. In addition No Parole To Rock and Roll and Rising Force did not do well in sales. No one really would have ever heard Jeff here. Talisman was formed in 1990. While the original Hardline band, Brunette, was formed in 88. Johnny was already singing prior to Yngwie even releasing his first album, meaning he was prior to Jeff.
no, that is not true, He just sings HARD ROCK which is what he loves, he does Heavy for economic reasons but He is a hard rock fan. simply. If you listen the covers He made lately you will never say that again.research first.
@masterpatric07 This may have been months ago, but you need to check your facts greatly before posting. People have different singing styles, and truth is Johnny style is very similar to Soto. He IS NOT trying to imitate him, he's been singing like that for years before Axel Rudi Pell. Proof? Hardline- Hot Cherie Nuff' said.
@masterpatric07 I would honestly say that if Johnny was copying his style, but the thing is, he wasn't. They share the same exact style, with no one copying off each other. Does that make Tony Harnell a copy as well? Or Bruce Dickinson? Face it, it's a style. Jeff didn't popularize it. It's clear to me your simply a fanboy upset about Johnny's placement within the band and not Jeff. For you to say someone copied another singing style is nothing but absurdity in every way.
@masterpatric07 See, that's the thing you need to touch up on when you say no one had that sound in the 80's. People had it way before then. No one invented anything, but to say Gioeli is copying Soto is anything but absurd. You lost this argument the second you threw in a insult. I listen to all kinds of music. This is soley about your basis stating who copied who which is entirely false. It's a different thing to have an opinion, and it's another to state false info.
@battlefrontwing is a good album, again it has at the time fresh air, after MAGIC that was a little repetitive, the new frontman brought new air to the band but it was just a glimpse. pell needs a change now.Besides i do not like the keyboards,he should stay at rough silk. the departure of jorg michael was not good for the band as well. and SOTO's departure was terminal/.
@battlefrontwing you are right, is a wanna be. still he is a very decent replacement, but PELL NEEDS A NEW FRONTMAN,the band is sounding too repetitive.I stop buying pell albums after the second album with GIOELLI. i loved the firsty GIOELLI ALBUM,but he is so obsessed in sing like soto that stinks, soto is a natural and he sounds too forced.pell needs a new air and a frontman can give that fresh.
Hard to believe they never played this song live before. Would love to here Johnny sing it. One of their best songs by far !
It's almost impossible to sing live. Johnny has a bit lower voice than Soto. Even Soto himself can't sing this live) High as hell.
Heavy metal da melhor qualidade!!!
It is Jeff Scott Soto (1992 - 1997 the Voice in Axels Band)
You And I
Axel Rudi Pell
Album: Black Moon Pyramid
A thousand miles away and a thousand years ago
There was a place still to remember
They lived in fear, saw shadows on the wall
"Kill the king", they screamed with anger
Woo oh
We lived in danger, all of you and I
Don't talk to strangers
In the dead of night
We lived in danger, all of you and I
Don't talk to strangers
In the dead of night
Yea
We saw the face of the queen that shined
So bright
Her poisoned glory makes you deaf and blind
Some could escape from the reign of rolling heads
Some would imagine, they'd be better off dead
Woo oh
We lived in danger, all of you and I
Don't talk to strangers
In the dead of the night
We lived in danger, all of you and I
Don't talk to strangers
In the dead of night
We lived in danger, all of you and I
Don't talk to strangers
In the dead of the night
We lived in danger, all of you and I
Don't talk to strangers
In the dead of the night
Yeah yeah
In danger you and I oh oh
In the dead of the night
Don't talk to strangers
No no
It can only bring you danger
Yeah yeah yeah
All of you and I
All of you and I
Only you and I
Yeah

jss is a master, but johnny is god!
@masterpatric07 Gioeli isn't an imitator .... It's a man who WANTS to sing like SOTO ... But he can't ...
@PieManZXY SINCE HE SAW JEFF SCOTT SOTO WITH YNGWIE?OR TALISMAN?PLEASE WAKE UP.
That doesn't sound like Johnny Gioeli. Is that really his voice?

@masterpatric07 Johnny is the best!!! Jeff was so awesome, but it seems he lost a part of his voice with the time.
