Hello Everyone, The 427 is operated by Abellio London using Enviro400MMC's from Armstrong Way (GW) Garage. The route goes from Southall, Hayes By-Pass, Hillingdon and Uxbridge. The route predominately stays along the A4020 which is useful! The route was introduced in order to replace the withdrawn section of route 207 between Hayes By Pass and Uxbridge. Transport for London were proposing to build the West London Tram between Shepherd's Bush and Uxbridge, running along Uxbridge Road. The tram would have replaced the current routes 207, 427 and 607 (SL8 now). Transport for London claimed that trams would carry more passengers and be more reliable, but due to the Crossrail project going ahead the plans were scrapped. This time, I made sure to conduct my research on where in Uxbridge the route terminates unlike U5 lol. The driver was slow and average throughout; we had a 5 minute wait at Hayes, The Grapes because a 427 was in front of us. But she did speed up at Uxbridge which was pointless anyways; maybe because she realised that she was running behind lol. Also, she forgot that we were on at the end, so we were driven to the bus stand (due to the sudden cut in the video). What made it more annoying, is that the sun was reflecting the windows, but I mean it's better than rain tbh...
On the 4 March 2023, the route was withdrawn between Southall Broadway and Acton High Street. At the same time, it was diverted to Southall Merrick Road (a former bus stand). In my opinion, it is a weird change, but it does help to link Southall Station to the A4020 Southall Broadway. On the 3rd February 2024, Abellio will rename to Transport UK Bus; which is bad because I do like the name "Abellio" I do miss 207 & 427 with Metroline West. The route and 207 are basically the slow versions of the SL8. If I'm being completely honest, Southall has terrible drivers and a lack of road safety awareness: When I was about to cross the zebra crossing at Merrick Road, some driver in a white car whizzed past without stopping, knowing that we were there present (which is stupid because by law you have to give way for people to cross). Also, some guy at Southall Broadway almost got hit by a H32 trying to cross the road to rush for a bus; when there literally are traffic crossing lights to cross from. Anyways, an average route that could be extended soon or even re-routed again lol.

It broke my heart after it got cut because i hated 207 and 607 (SL8) cause of crowds. This route sucks now. This is why i hated March of the year.
