Yeah, looking back - not truly sure how much credit we give Brandy. She was extremely popular back then yeah, but from a dancing, vocal, performaning and all around entertainment perspective - she was pretty damn good.
Yeah, Babyface did all the greatest songs in the 90´s . What happened to him? Is he still making music? He needs to go back to what he was doing before.
Babyface produced this!! The greatest! This whole soundtrack for Waiting to Exhale is FIRE! Maybe the greatest soundtrack. You should hear more of it. Fun fact: It reached #2 on the charts.
This song was written and produced by the legendary Babyface. MostR&b hits from the 90's and early 2000's were written and/or produced by Babyface. Artist from whitbey, to Mariah, Tlc, yoni Braxton, tevin Campbell, Madonna and the list goes on
WHOA! Tevin Campbell - he was so good! He needs to react to some of his stuff! - Tell Me What Do You Want Me To do, I'm Ready, Can We Talk, Always in My Heart,..he had some hits and one of the greatest voices in music
1994-1998 was peak Brandy. Great projects all around. Waiting to Exhale had a better soundtrack than The Bodyguard. Babyface made sure everyone got hits: Whitney, Toni Braxton, Brandy, and Mary J. Blige all had #1 or #2 hits from the album. Even Count On Me went top 20. If only Mariah was on the album, but it was a Whitney project.
In terms of R&B and movie soundtracks, very few come close to the Waiting to Exhale album. Babyface put his whole ass foot in this album and made magic. He brought on Whitney, Brandy, Aretha, Patti, Chaka, MJB, TLC, Toni! Everybody and their grandmother was on this! Woof the talent! Give that whole album a listen. MJB's Not Gon Cry is worth the review.
@@JackReacts904 I thank you so much for acknowledging her amazing talent she's so underrated! She released a new single last month ft Chance the rapper called Baby Mama GREAT message and it Knocks!!!!
Just watching your list of Brandy reactions and reading the comments. I grew up listening to Brandy and people forgot to mention her first album came out in 94. That means she started recording it at 14-15 years old. This song came out in 95. Such an incredibly mature vocal talent for someone so young and when you throw in her arrangements and background vocals, you realised she was something very very special.
The whole soundtrack is pretty stellar. Besides the younger artists, industry legends Patti LaBelle ("My Love, Sweet Love"), Chaka Khan ("My Funny Valentine"), and Aretha Franklin ("It Hurts Like Hell") also recorded songs on the album. I highly recommend all three, they bring an "old school soul" to the album contrasting somewhat to the contemporary vibes of Brandy, Mary J. and Toni.
You should react to: Brandy- Baby Baby Brandy- I wanna be down (original) Mary J Blige ft Lil Kim- I Can Love You Mary J Blige- I’m Goin Down Mary J Blige- I’m Not Gon Cry
My mom told me, when I turn this song on one time, that when she was like 16 or 17 that she would be in her room singin this song while thinkin about my dad. It's funny how life comes full circle lol. Also Whitney Houston...yeah ummm...she wifey
You should do Whitney’s hit song exhale, the only number 1 off the album, one of the best songs if not the best on Whitney’s soundtrack to her movie. Yes Whitney picked every singer on the soundtrack cuz she did not feel like singing the whole soundtrack for her new movie at the time. If you listen to a lot of the songs you could hear Whitney singing the songs chosen. I believe babyface wrote all the songs with Whitney singing them in mind. Btw love this song by Brandy!!!!
Wassup jack been watching you channel like your reactions to these videos and I heard a lil bit of your beats you have passion I like that keep doing what you do bless you🙏🙏🙏
I loved HypeWilliams' music videos - They all had this signature look to them. He did so many back in the 90s including Brandy’s brokenhearted video with Wanya Morris from Boyz II Men please check that out! Some of his other videos include - LL Cool J Doin It and Hey Lover; Brandy - Baby; D'Angelo - Lady .. too many
The guy In the video is Donald Faision he was in the movie baby face wrote this song 4 whitney Houston she said it's too "young" let brandy do it and it's a hit
Jack, your reactions are always fun to watch. Might I suggest a few artists: Mary J. Blige - Sweet Thing, You Remind Me, Real Love, I'm Going Down, No More Drama, Dance for Me, One Love( U2 cover). Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart, Another Sad Love Song, Breathe Again, You're Making Me High, He Wasn't Man Enough for Me. Tamia: Stranger in My House, So Into You, Who Do You Tell, Imagination, You Put a Move on My Heart. SWV: Weak, Right Here (Human Nature Remix), I'm So Into You. Mariah Carey: With You I'm Born Again M. Jackson: Smooth Criminal, Earth Song Prince: If I Was Your Girlfriend, Purple Rain, Damn You, When Does Cry, 7 Just for a Thursday 😎😝
Omg yes Amerie has some really good songs on that first album she did too; and 1 thing is a banger! I heard it was going to go to Beyoncé ? It has the gogo beat just like crazy in love.
Yeah, this on the soundtrack to Waiting to Exhale. Pretty sure Babyface wrote and produced this song cuz he wrote and produced damn near every song on that soundtrack lol.
Brandy & Ray J “Another Day In Paradise.” It’s a Phil Collins cover. It’s so good. :) Another cover you should react to is her cover of Cold Play’s “Magic.” It’s AMAZING!
You gotta check out the uncut version of the Sittin' Up In My Room video with Brandy singing a bit of Whitney Houston's Shoop in the intro. It's SUPER DOPE!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Hey Jack, also on this soundtrack is TLC - This Is How It Works. This is a must react to! Along with the rest of the soundtrack, produced by Babyface. FIRE!!!
Love your video Jack ! If you want to react to something very different from Brandy's catalogue you can react to Should I Go for her 4th album. This song is everything with alot of harmonies and vocals like no other.
Hey Jack ! Love this track. Brandy was fire 🔥 back in the day ! Still is but she had that little something extra in her younger days ! Could you please react to Aaliyah’s If Your Girl Only Knew? This track is a true classic. You’ll like it 4 sure !
If you want to see Brandy dance some more you should react to Afrodisiac, Talk About Our Love ft Kanye West, and Put It Down ft Chris Brown. You should also react to her songs Full Moon, Sitting On Top Of The World ft Mase, Who Is She 2 U, Right Here (Departed), Best Friend, Angel In Disguise, and He Is. Brandy was EXTREMELY popular...in the 90s she was considered one of the r&b princesses. Whitney, Mariah, Janet , and Mary J were the top R&B Queens in the 90s...Brandy, Monica, and Aaliyah were the top R&B Princesses. You should also react to some more Monica she has alot of hits too.
Brandy was the black Britney even before there was Britney. Music, Movies, TV, endorsements. She could have reached legendary status if it wasn't the industry tried to erase her post 2000s.
Love 90s Brandy. That almost doesn't count is my shyt. Broken hearted is amazing but please if you want a fun energy song do talk about our love it features Kanye with music video
And this was written and produced by Babyface. He written and produced the whole Waiting to Exhale soundtrack. Fun fact, the whole album was written for Whitney Houston, however she declined and picked female artists that’ll be great for the album. She did some song on that album as well.
I don’t know how many times Jack can surprise me. Like who the hell showed him the Waiting to Exhale movie? 😂
yeah lol I was wondering that
Riiight! Lol if "what you know bout that" had a face lol
Okay I’m like who is this kid reacting to 90’s. But he is being put on to the greatness.
Lol same thoughts
Yeah, looking back - not truly sure how much credit we give Brandy. She was extremely popular back then yeah, but from a dancing, vocal, performaning and all around entertainment perspective - she was pretty damn good.
Marlon Eric she so underrated as a vocalist.
@@miospio Didn't Whitney Houston herself praise her? I think the world knew it but never really let everyone know lol
Saturated with so much talent back then but we definitely slept on her a bit
Brandy was always my baby but her dancing atrocious lol she dances her ass off now.
Babyface is a smooth operator when it comes to writing love songs. He did marvelous job write and produce this song.
He did the whole soundtrack!
@@MsLuvmusic81 True
Yeah, Babyface did all the greatest songs in the 90´s . What happened to him? Is he still making music? He needs to go back to what he was doing before.
@@bublifuk he just tested positive for COVID :( He ruled the 90s and had some great music himself

This song, the whole soundtrack and Waiting to Exhale is 🔥🔥🔥
Brandy's voice does something to my soul I love her so much

Most of those songs were produced by him I think; TLC, Toni Braxton, Whitney, CeCe Winans, Mary J Blige
MsLuvmusic81 he produced the whole fantastic album... wrote and produced every song...such a classic
He produced all and wrote all but one, my funny valentine was a cover
I can’t think of a better soundtrack.
