Even a $10 servo tester makes a great investment. I still have an astro flight one I bought in the 90s. I not only center my servos, but I set up my linkages so that I get my high-rate deflection of each surface using the servo tester. That way when the end points are set to 100% on the radio, I will have exactly the same throw that I had using the servo tester.
Incredibly useful and informative video, great presentation, clear and concise. Re the JR Matchmaker - will it work with other makes of Servos such as Hitec, Align and Futaba. If not any recommendations as the JR unit has been discontinued.......... Also, I cannot find your video on hinging ailerons? You deserve more views!! Regards Brian
Thank you for the positive feedback, Brian!! The JR matchmaker will work with any brand of servo. If you are using Futaba servos with the J connector you will need to cut the tab on the connector or use an extension that does not have the J connector where it connects to the matchmaker. We are looking for our preferred replacement of the matchmaker currently. When we find it, we will post an update!
