One thing I have learned about working, keep your mouth shut and do your job. Ignore other people's drama or their attempts to suck you into it. If you do anything make sure it is a positive. Personal matters take care of off your employer's property and clock. The way those two went at it is a lesson in what not to do. It was highly unprofessional and uncalled for. They have high profile clients, that i an have sure would have 2nd thoughts about doing business there upon seeing this shit.
This is inductive of the kind of shop Coddington ran. Instead of letting this punk antagonize Jimmy with his disrespectful behavior he should have told him to stop for one important thing: cooperation. Actions speak louder than words when it came to Coddington and how he ran his shop. Have not watched all the epiaodes. Saw people take off for Foose but never saw people coming from Foose to work for Coddington. That can be explained by Coddington and how he ran his shop.
@Jayson Adams probably because he's been dead for 14 years. Didn't like the way he ran his shop and that could be seen in the series. Had he ran it differently his name would still be around as a selling point. Nope. What happens when you don't cultivate people and make loyalty a one-way street and don't compete to keep your talent.
Poor management I had 7 guys working for me and we knew what was going on and help them get through problems, well most of the time sometimes you get people who just are too high strung...
Yeah. I've notice tha tabout him a few times. Where he'll stir up trouble then run off laughing.. He is one of those idiots who thinks it's all a huge luagh until it is done to him.
What was Craig Piligian thinking when he decided to make a couple reality shows based upon a dysfunctional hot rod shop and custom bike builder run by a couple of sociopathic narcissistic bosses?
Instead of maybe preventing a bad situation, those guys just sat, giggled and grinned, like junior high kids aching to see a fight. They should of told him his box was moved, and called them into the office separately.
Jay Privacy - All were missing is somebody to start yelling about let me get my size 12’s to plant in your ass. “Mikey randomly does stupid shit and makes his dad laugh”. Lmao
@@fattony123082 I'm not gonna lie, I loved the first 2 seasons of American Chopper. I stopped watching once they moved to new headquarters. Heads got too big.
Jay Privacy - Yeah things seem to change a lot when they moved into the new building meanwhile Paul Junior was the only one who really kept the place running.
Duane was the biggest mistake of that company. Idk why Boydd never realized that Duane and his attitude drive away every good worker they ever had. I have worked for someone like Duane and it just kills morale. Who wants to come work and busy thier ass and go the extra mile for someone like him. I wonder where he is now. Probably being a prick to his nurse in the retirement home.
That shop IMO would’ve been better if Duane got told to hit the street, Boyd grew a set and told his employees to knock off the silly shit and get back to work, or take it elsewhere, and stop working his guys out the door with unnecessarily short deadlines. In the end he could’ve had a better end product with better productive workers.
I remember this and it was a hard watch....the tension was off the scale.....also reminded me that dans an arse too....sits there gurning but he can stir the pot too from time to time
Hey I shit in a guy’s toolbox and welded the lid shut because he put trash in mine. Then I went out to the parking lot and pissed in his seat. 😂 then I informed him that he will no longer be able to work if he came near me again. The boss laughed out loud when he told him. 😂
The people a manager hires reflects that manager's personality. Chip Foose - maybe was a dick behind the scenes but really, everything on camera at least he's a great guy who always got the best out of his employees by leading in a positive manner. Boyd Cottington - might have been a good guy behind the scenes but on camera was nothing but an egotistical jerk who deserved to lose his business because he made everyone miserable and seemed to create dissention and hate among his employees.
The best Boyd moment was when they dug up that vault that had a mint 50's car inside. Once it came up, water pouring out of it ,they realized they had a ball of rust and decay.
Boyd said That she was asking for more mone (over phone) and she didn't get more money, so he fired her.. She later said that Boyd had said that it's better that they go seperate ways rather then working something out! And another thing, in a earlier episode is that girl in the "Lazzes sheetmetal school"!!
i didn't get why they fired that chick with the '68 camaro, they all had positive things to say about her and she did a very good job but then all of a sudden they said she could take a hike? what was up with that?
Horroble atmosphere allways fights I don't know but is no good so to work all against others I watched this show. In a conflict allways both sides fault
I think is a lil bit show behind the scenes. I think the producer of the show maked some aragments u go aginst this guy than u have conflict and so far u know. But I saw conflicts like that without any cameras for not a show Yeah Boyd died unfortunaly and his wife can hold the business going the most of them lost theyr of course now they have now other jobs normal I think Duane is a real asshole I think is not only show. I think the most people watched this show hated Duane The same thing is with American Chopper they created conflicts behind the camera between Paul Sn. aund Paul jr. Mikey he was somehow lost he have no idea to work in the Motorcyle business
Why can’t ppl just come to work as adults? Why the fuck do ppl have to start misery with others just because they lives suck? Don’t like someone guess what who fucking cares you are there to get a paycheck to do a dream job of working on cars! PERIOD!
Yep, people quit, but on the other side when you think about it, the work that they were doing was of such a high quality and originality and from what I have seen on Quest in the UK series I wish I had worked there just for the Buzz. The TV series has been very interesting indeed, not just for the beautiful cars, but more than all for the characters that worked there like Roy Schmidt and Mike and that areshole Dwayne who at the end of the day was really OK underneath his grissly growl.
It looks like this place is falling apart ya know I think they all have a lot of growing up to do and learn to be real men and do the job there getting paid to do cause if they build cars like relationships then Ford don't have to worry
Nealry two decades later, I still look back at this show and think about how much I would have hated working at that place.
I was just thinking about that. I never seen a workingplace with such negative energy.
It honestly should be shown in company training videos as a perfect example of a toxic workplace and hostile work environment
Just watching the show on TV always felt like I got punched in the stomach at the end.
Jim is now at Jay Leno's shop and his work is still amazing.
Was it amazing on this show ?
Boyd had some real talent working for him - driven off by Duane and other idiots.
That dan grins all the way through the show needs a good slap as well
He's a sneaky POS
Yeah a shit stirrer
Dan is a total douche bag shit stirrer.
Tossing a burning rag into a pool of fuel and then standing back and watching carnage ensue
Dan loves the drama!! His smile says a 1000 words...and he is a sneaky fu"k
@Nicholas Gangi yep
Duane killed that company
Na it was Boyds arrogance
@@Modsnake98 toxic mixture of both..
All Boyd’s fault
Boyd killed it all by himself twice
Both Boyd and Duane..toxic double act ...two shithouses acting in unison..
This show was never about the cars, it was about Boyds inability to run a shop!
Exactly, unstable bosses collapsing their own business
It was about Boyd’s ego .
Its about Drama,Drama and Drama and more Drama

God boyd is such a deppressing man. I got depression just by watching boyd and dwayne
I didn’t see them in this video

@Nicholas Gangi yup, looking at his other comments I would say there is a strong possibility or he has an unhealthy affinity for Boyd.

DAMMM, watch 3 video's of Boyd Hot Rod Shop now and fighting, employees quitting, I always thought people wanted to work for this Boyd dude. RIP Boyd.
Fuck Boyd
I would casually opened up my toolbox and grab the biggest wrench I had then knocked dans teeth out.
If I didn't already know what this show was, I would assume from my recent UA-cam recommends that this was a Sit-Com called 'Getting Fired'! 😂

Why does this remind me of Orange county choppers
