Me too! I was always on the edge of my seat and I would give anything if they could all be together in another show with their beautiful voices! I thought when Nashville came out that it was such a different show than everything else on tv. I really miss them all.
I just love these two together. I really hope they reunite next season because the Gunnar and Scarlett dynamic has truly been missed this season. I just love and live for their duets.
Regardless of them having a relationship as lovers on the show...If they don't make more music together I will be thoroughly disappointed...This finale really threw every relationship's status up in the air, as is the case with many drama show finales, but what I always fall back on is the music...I can live with the crazy love triangles, but I can't live without the music.
The song choices Buddy Miller and Callie Khouri have made for both Sam and Clare have been just perfect for their voices and their characters on the show...If these two don't cut an album or tour together in the future I think we (and they) will miss out on something really special...Who cares if a TV show brought them to each other...They sound perfect together and the emotion is real...You can tell how carefully cast the show actually was when you see these Nashville imports pull off such convincing portrayals...I was drawn to the show by Lennon and Maisy Stella but I have really fallen for Sam and Clare's musical magic.
Avolution33 Yes you are absolutely right! I think they are both extremely talented individually, but as a duo they just have this "magic".....and of course we easily get caught up in their characters and as you alluded to the producers GREAT song selections for them on the show, but I've heard them live together and the magic is still there for me. I think Sam Palladio's voice just blends softly enough with Clare's. I think they should def capitalize and record together!
Eric Lefort It's funny Eric...I've never advocated for a TV show in my life until Nashville came along...And once I dug into the biographies of the cast and the people behind the scenes I realized that this show had a truly novel approach to a show that revolved around music...No faking musical talent...Connie and Hayden were probably the two biggest "wildcards" when it comes to the musical side...They have more than proved their chops on stage, especially Hayden...Sam and Clare defy rational explanation when you think about an Aussie and a Brit pulling off the Nashville vibe...Jonathan Jackson has not only a great voice but that boy can play a mean guitar too...Lennon and Maisy are absolute jewels and are going to be a commanding presence in the future of music...Chris Carmack, Chip Esten, Will Chase, Chaley Rose, Aubrey Peeples...they all hold their own musically and as actors...Behind the camera you have T-Bone Burnett (sadly departed the show but is producing an album for Clare) and Buddy Miller...That's two legends in the business...JD Souther who plays Waddy White...Look into this guy...He has some incredible music roots as well...I just watched a documentary on the Eagles last night and JD was right there in the formation of the 70's SoCal music scene as a songwriter and performer...To think that this show has had to fight so hard for renewal after both seasons 1 and 2 astounds me...My belief is that the soundtrack albums, concert performances and itunes sales have saved this show and now that it has a better foothold I think it could last an incredibly long time...especially when it produces songs this good every week...Long Live Nashville!!!
Avolution33 Very well said and I strongly agree! This series is very captivating and it really plays for a wide range of an audience. The music is just superb and the dramatic story lines are always engaging and they introduce many behind the scene story lines most of us would never know or think about....like songwriters, managers, producers, etc. And to your point how it went down to the wired to get renewed the last two seasons is just mind boggling? The Nashville and Country community have strongly shown their support. The music sells really well.......I mean I would think with just having the music appeal that sells really well would be enough to keep renewing even if the acting and story lines were just decent? But lets hope for more seasons because it is a truly great combination of music and storylines......oh and just heard Hayden is pregnant, so that will be interesting when it comes to filming, writers might use it for story?
+Hawkeye45 I find that now when I listen to country music I still don't like it - but the songs from this show..... are awesome!! Put the songs from Nashville on the air!
The music is written by talented unknown songwriters some of whom I've had the honor of meeting. The music on this show is a million times better then what's "popular" and makes you wonder about the music industry
Charlotte Holmes I think this song will replace it as your favorite song on the whole show "I Will Never Let You Know (feat. Clare Bowen & Sam Palladio) " EDIT: Spelling
I LOVE Scarlett and Gunnar together. The way they look at each other, the way their voices harmonize so beautifully, their whole story and dynamic. It's beautiful. I've really missed their duets this season, and I've obsessively watched and re-watched any interactions they had at all. I love that Gunnar watches the heartbreaking video of Scarlett and writes this for her--"every time you open up your mouth, diamonds come rolling out." And when Zooey enters, he stops playing, like he knows he's doing something wrong by feeling for Scarlett...I have nothing against Zooey. I mean I feel nothing for her character, she's just bland and I'm not emotionally invested at all in her relationship with Gunnar. I really wish they had never happened, because now it will be so difficult for Gunnar to fall back in love with her best friend...Zooey is just another Karen Filippelli. She's fine, but she's not Gunnar's soulmate. I'm so glad he was the one who told her not to go--that makes all the difference in the world. This song is incredible, hope there are many more seasons of Nashville and many, many more Clare/Sam Scarlett/Gunnar duets
THIS. I agree with everything you said 110%. Especially Zoey. I like her voice, but her character has no substance and no chemistry with Sam. But Gunnar and Scarlett, they are perfect together in every way.
I agree 100%. And when you talked about him writing that song after watching Scarlett's video, that entire scene I was thinking the exact same thing, though they parted ways for a while the last few episodes it was easy to see the feelings were still there. I just hope they reunite soon.
Scarlett and Gunner, best duet partners on this show. They need to rehappen. They were at their best when they were together Layla's face is so great, but I seriously hope she supports him through it anyways.
A lump of feels in my throat was building up throughout this episode, and as soon as Gunnar started singing -- I just lost it. It was Gunnar & Scarlett's duet from the pilot episode that got me hooked into Nashville; and I'm so happy, though tearsssss rolling out, they included a duet from them in this season ender.
I think it's amazing that Nashville not only gives us a decent script and acting, but on top of this a wealth of original songs which the actors have to sing convincingly! That's a lot of creative work going on there!
I started looking at Nashville again & now they've changed the program till 1 a.m. & i can't hold my eyes open. 😠😭i LOVE The program but now I'm missing it .
*reads a few comments* glad I'm not the only one who cried because of this song. I love this song. Plus I'm glad Will finally came out (even though he came out to one person and Gunner and Jeff already knew). But sucks he didn't know cameras was in the room.
tunedude19 Relationships aren't suppose to be stable all the time, couples are supposed to fight and disagree and handle separate things, but what matters is when they're together nothing else matters and that is when they are together they are stable. Scarlet went through a hard time and wanted to leave but it was Gunnar that convinced her to stay, and when Gunnar's brother died Scarlet was there as much as she could be, they make each other feel safe despite everything else. And the way they look at each other only three couples on the show like that Avery&Juliette Rayna&Deacon and these two
This entire video made me cry. I love these two together and song is absolutely beautiful. The way that he looks at her is something else...I also cried when Will finally came out to Layla and think that the song went perfectly with that scene.
When she opens her mouth, diamonds come rolling out. So true! I'm an old rocker, always made fun of country but I love this show and I blame Scarlett for wrapping her arms around me and gently pulling me in. I know Juliette is troubled and trying to make her way, and I definitely admire Rayna more and more, but Scarlett is the Great Muse, the Maiden, the Waif and the Waitress. Shakespeare's Juliet brought to life and given the voice of the Angel of Love. Gunnar needs to be her strength and let her come around, and when she does, claim her and don't do anything stupid, just be her rock. Let Zoey go her own way, she's a big girl. My 2 cents!
Lovely analysis, Alan. I have never like "country" music much (not to be confused with bluegrass) -- I'm more a folk-rocker (!), but I would watch this show just to hear Scarlet and Gunnar together, or Scarlett by herself. I think Clare and Sam are the most interesting singers in the group.
It looks like Gunnar's ex is back in the picture!! Who does that leave for Scarlett? She likes the Doctor because he's "grown up" but I think her heart yearns to heal Gunnar deep down, and he just wants to protect her and keep her safe and watch her grow. I'm good with that!!
OMG absolutely amazing, I love love love this song, the lyrics and Gunner and Scarlett together ...I hope the writers reunite the couple because they are truly magical and their chemistry pops off the tv screen.
I 100% agree they r magic and ex ment to be I hate to say it but like ray a and deacon but with those too they will realize it in season 3 cuz they were a year a part and they still sound turkey beautiful together!
Why, oh why is this track not on the latest soundtrack album?! It's genius. I love these two together. They sound so beautiful together. My favorite on the show, followed by the Stella sisters.
I truly love this song... it is a perfect reminder that we all have a gift; and we are meant to do what we were born to do. No matter what. Thanks Nashville. Thanks Sam and Clare...
I sang this for my best friend at my high schools alumni open mic on the day of her funeral. This song is so beautiful, and my best friend died young, just a month before her 26th birthday. I'll always miss her 👼🏼❤️
Second favorite song from these two. The harmonizing the two have together, they truly compliment each other. I was shocked to find myself crying not only from the message through the lyrics but mostly at how beautiful they sound together. ;-)
Just watched the entire series on Netflix. Wow! What an amazing series. These songs should be all #1 on the billboard charts. Such great song writing and incredible talent. This song is not just about talent, it is about the gift of life that Jesus has given us, not to waste it. Inspiring!!!
ugh. all the feels. i absolutely love Gunnar and Scarlett. their voices together are magic.. rayna needs to make them a duo and be done. how Gunnar isnt signed on the show is mind boggling. love this show!
Nashville creators are lucky that these two work and blend together perfectly. This show is amazing! Music is more amazing! I hope there will be many more seasons to come.
I saw a video of Clare bowen saying this song reminds her of her brother who was going through cancer treatment. I sang this song at an open mic the day of my best friend in the entire world's funeral. She had died after fighting an extremely rare terminal illness for 2 years. It was a month before her 26th birthday. I've always associated this song with my memories of her, so hearing Clare say a similar thing really resonated with me.
The song itself is amazing. It makes me feel like singing. And their voices together are simply perfect. I just love listenning them singing. I really hope next season they'll have a chance to do music together again. Just loved it!
When he writes you a song like THAT and looks at you the way he does her, marry him.
Have his 10 kids, wash his feet, cook his favourite meals
I literally come back every year to listen to this. Best moment and song from the series
I miss Nashville and I miss them so much. FINALE SPOILER - They deserved endgame and I’ll never not be upset that they didn’t get it
Me too! I was always on the edge of my seat and I would give anything if they could all be together in another show with their beautiful voices! I thought when Nashville came out that it was such a different show than everything else on tv. I really miss them all.

Avolution33 I agree 100%. Amazing Clare Bowen and the whole cast singing is why I tune in.
"Everytime you open up your mouth, diamonds come rolling out." That's how Gunnar has always thought of Scarlett. 😍😍
This is just pure poetry at its best! Sam Palladio has a great voice for this type of ballad! Just great
The song choices Buddy Miller and Callie Khouri have made for both Sam and Clare have been just perfect for their voices and their characters on the show...If these two don't cut an album or tour together in the future I think we (and they) will miss out on something really special...Who cares if a TV show brought them to each other...They sound perfect together and the emotion is real...You can tell how carefully cast the show actually was when you see these Nashville imports pull off such convincing portrayals...I was drawn to the show by Lennon and Maisy Stella but I have really fallen for Sam and Clare's musical magic.
Avolution33 Yes you are absolutely right! Passionate hate toward country music and anything involved with it. I started watching this show as a joke and now I'm hooked. Whoops
Same here. Love love love county even more now after watching Nashville and these two song together. Just beautiful to listen too.
Hawkeye45 same here dont like country started this cuz i love hayden fell in love with the show
+Hawkeye45 I find that now when I listen to country music I still don't like it - but the songs from this show..... are awesome!! Put the songs from Nashville on the air!

Never a fan of country, but Sam might convert me. What an incredible range he has.
I love when his eyes get all dreamy when she starts to sing.
favorite song of the whole show . please put these two together again!
Charlotte Holmes I think this song will replace it as your favorite song on the whole show
"I Will Never Let You Know (feat. Clare Bowen & Sam Palladio) "
EDIT: Spelling
qwer Agreed!
whoever did the casting for this show, sure knew what they were doing!!
Scarlett, and Claire TOGETHER, were one of the sweetest, most honest amd beautiful women to grace the screen in many years!
I LOVE Scarlett and Gunnar together. The way they look at each other, the way their voices harmonize so beautifully, their whole story and dynamic. It's beautiful. The shoe is on the other foot when Scarlett openly calls Gunnar... "You might as well be the devil."
That boy is solid.
If the The Exes dropped new music today, I would totally be okay with it. ❤❤❤❤❤
Three years later and this song still gets me
Scarlett and Gunner, best duet partners on this show. They need to rehappen. They were at their best when they were together
Layla's face is so great, but I seriously hope she supports him through it anyways.
This one and Black roses are my favourites

Best song from this show to date. This is a number one hit for sure
And can we please get an audio version on UA-cam. Doubt care to hear the other parts like will coming out. Just want the music
Same!!
These two really have some magic.
This is the best song Nashville has done so far, almost cried hearing it!
I think it's amazing that Nashville not only gives us a decent script and acting, but on top of this a wealth of original songs which the actors have to sing convincingly! That's a lot of creative work going on there!

Nashville grand
I wish to watch this movie 🎬

The way he looks at her... he never looks that way at Zoey.
Agreed i hope she stays and they fall in love again
Exactly, I hope they get together
But he has a stable relationship with Zooey. Scarlet can't handle the life and business he's I right now, time away will do then good.
Zoey's his rebound girl. Yes - cute and fun, but that's all. Him and Scarlett are end game and the real deal.

Truly these two are a match made in heaven. Goosebumps & tears, that's all I feel when they sing.
It’s called acting and they did it to perfection.
This entire video made me cry. I love these two together and song is absolutely beautiful. The way that he looks at her is something else...I also cried when Will finally came out to Layla and think that the song went perfectly with that scene.

Zoey was never right but I do believe like ranya and Deacon Scarlett and Gunnar r ment to be but I hope they figure it out sooner then they did!!!
Just another reason why I immerse myself into this show! My god, when Scarlet starts her verse, I get chills EVERY TIME
I literally cried while listening to this song. Such a beautiful song..........
OMG absolutely amazing, I love love love this song, the lyrics and Gunner and Scarlett together ...I hope the writers reunite the couple because they are truly magical and their chemistry pops off the tv screen.

one of my favorites from Nashville...
I love their voices together! Hope they make more music next season.
their voices really are magical 2gether
Why, oh why is this track not on the latest soundtrack album?! It's genius. I love these two together. They sound so beautiful together. My favorite on the show, followed by the Stella sisters.
I absolutely love love love this song. It's such beauty and truth in this. Every word is amazingly written.

I love these two singing together there songs are so beautiful. So much chemistry between them on screen
I FREAKING LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!! and Gunnar and Scarlett need to get back together!!!
My gosh it is like magic!
Nashville creators are lucky that these two work and blend together perfectly. This show is amazing! Music is more amazing! I hope there will be many more seasons to come.
I saw a video of Clare bowen saying this song reminds her of her brother who was going through cancer treatment. GAHH. These two have such great chemistry. Love it. He can come sing to me any day now....

I have heard this song hundreds of times but that didn’t stop me from bursting into tears watching it again. I love them, they deserved better
I cried during this scene. Poor Will!! And Scarlett and Gunnar, ohmygawd. I fangirled so hard.

This song ALWAYS gives me goosebumps. Regardless of the storyline
This is my absolute favorite song on this show...and maybe in my top 10 of all time. It's just breathtaking.
Love Nashville ❤❤❤
I love this song. I cry every time. They are my otppppppp
The most beautiful song. Rarely do songs make cry, but this one does. The hook is masterful.
I love this couple.
I never liked country music, but damn I LOVED THIS SHOW!!!!

Fear Show, Cast and Music. Seriously needed to be 20 seasons long. 🙏💚🙏
I really hope they bring these two back together, for the right reasons.
The song itself is amazing. It makes me feel like singing. And their voices together are simply perfect. I just love listenning them singing. I really hope next season they'll have a chance to do music together again. Just loved it!
The perfect, heartwrenching song for such a moving and devastating moment of a beautiful, painful episode
I just love this song gave me the chills and the show is awesome.
