Cool toilet! These were all over in the schools I went to as a kid. I would guess that bow was heavily cleaned with acid based cleaners over a long time. Acid will etch the glaze over time so I try to use it sparingly when nothing else works.
These are my most favorite American Standard Madera toilets. The J.C. Penney not far from me had a bunch of these toilets along with a 1975 American Standard Cadet on Flushometer toilet. I was sad when these were gone in 1998 and installed wall mounted toilets. The mall had alot of floor mounted toilets. It is totally renovated today. A former School had a bunch of these toilets, but they tore it down in 2009 and car museum in town on the 3rd floor has 3 in the Men's restroom that still has these toilets and they are still in use today.
While we can encounter one of these toilets in the wild, (well my local JcPenny has some of them still installed).. it's basically a rare find to rescue one from the wild and getting them in a collection, as most of 70s-80s commercial toilets do end up getting smashed broken due to company standards of the construction companies that do the remodel jobs for commercial institutions... You won't find any of these old commercial toilets in the ReStore. BTW, Throughout the 70s, this type of Madera was basically common in JcPenny around U.S...
Definitely would like to have one of these in 'the collection' hehe Quite an amazing find!!
My high school was loaded with these toilets, plus, had the Cadets on flushometer in the handicapped stalls.❤
I would love to see how this would be like with an American standard tank. Make it a low tank.

Can you do the video of the 1968-1985 American Standard Baby Devoro?
nice
Great toilet! Can you put it on low tank? I've been waiting to see one flush on low tank
My middle school has a OP one
My school has these and they are original
Awesome 1970's American Standard Madera big trapway and finally you have it now!
Amazing toilet. The block logo is my favorite on the 70s Madera.
Much better than the new maderas.
This version and the 80s and early 90s version were the best.

Amazing toilet! I really like the shape of the base!
A roller rink has these they are from 1974 but the urinals are not original
Epic toilet, I'm so glad we got this.
Same!
AMAZING find!!!
I have always been curious how a 70s madera would flush on a gravity fed tank
I could try it!
@@BTRPlumbing like low tank, like the 70s baby devoros with a tank
did you see how powerful the madera at my school was

Jesus that’s a lotta water!
I used to have that Madera in school but It got replaced with a Kohler welcome
What is this pressurized water system you’ve made called?
It’s a flushometer setup! The blue tanks are called pressure tanks or expansion tanks
Amazing toilet!
Update 2024: I have one of these in my collection now!
Still have this?
I do
do you ever plan on getting an afton if possible?
If I can find one definitely
@@BTRPlumbing Everyone loves American Standard Aftons cause they are very powerful and sounds like the cartoon toilets
Cool toilet 😊😊
What was the name of the school and why did it close and I wanna see what the Madera looked like when it was abandoned
I don’t want to disclose the name because it’s not too far from me. I’m not sure why it closed. And I can’t show what it looked like when I found it
@@BTRPlumbing did it close for a long time and what did the Madera look like when it was abandoned I'm just curious
It closed in 2011 and it wasn’t the prettiest to look at
@@BTRPlumbing Oooo I wish I was there to see it, I wish I was there to flush it I wanna know if it stinked. Sorry for asking so many questions
Don’t be sorry! If you want, email me at brayden5559@gmail.com and I can send you some pictures
that shit looks tiny asf
These are good, but they have a tendency to shred.
Every toilet you come across does that lol
@@TheVintageNoob toilets hate STF 🤣 probably because he hates many of them.
