    The Agnus Dei is beautiful. I've never heard such a beautiful choir setting on any other keyboard. This keyboard just sings. I must have it.

    Thanks for a great demo, Scott. I confess I really like the RD2000, and I also loved the choir sounds. Were they on a vest instrument? Thanks,
    Steve

    Overall a fantastic-sounding keyboard, but I was surprised how weak the Leslie simulator is.

      I was thinking the same thing for a $2,500 keyboard. Sounded like a digital vibrato more than a Leslie with stereo output.

    Dear Scott, I have a question for you. I own a RD-2000 and I'm of course enthusiastic of it. I would like to make the best piano setting for live situations where I play with a band and not wanting the piano to disappear in the mixing. I try to explain... I have also a Yamaha PSR-S950 and the grand piano sound is always "clear" in the output. Yhe pianos from the Roland, which are beautiful to listen to when alone, in the live situation seems to be darker and less audible.... Have you got a suggestion for the right piano to use or the best settings to change in order to obtain a clearer sound on the mixer? Thank in advance!

    • @chrisjack8445
      @chrisjack8445 5 років тому

      brighter pianos work best for cutting through a mix...one can brighten a piano (most of the time) by boosting anywhere from 12k-20k in the eq

    Shame the organ rotary simulation sounds awful!

    • @benallen5967
      @benallen5967 7 років тому +5

      whisperdancer once it is adjusted, the rotary simulation is quite good. It needs adjusting for sure, but I own an RD-2000, and the organ sounds and rotary, once you adjust it, is very good. I'm extremely picky about Leslie simulators too, but take it from me, the potential is here for you to make an excellent sounding organ and Leslie.

    • @whisperdancer
      @whisperdancer 7 років тому

      Ben Allen honestly, the rotary simulation reminds me of my BK7m: lots of parameters for the effect, but I never got a good simulation out of it.

    How old are you metallic !!! RD2000 is too loud enough to bother you. I think that does not have much future for this Roland plan.
    Those who have the old RD700SX do well to keep it tight and do not change it with this new RD. Seeing is believing.

    The keybed is not so good as the RD 64. The RD200 is a light touch board. Doesn't fell like say the Roland FP range or the RD 64.

    • @JbtheBoss1892
      @JbtheBoss1892 7 років тому

      impromptu I play on Yamaha acoustic and digital, kawaii and Korg digital. from those experiences, I said this Roland sound engineer doesn't give good acoustic sound of a 🎹

    • @rinoceronte1
      @rinoceronte1 7 років тому +6

      its funny you mention Yamaha acoustic piano. I'm a classical pianist my self, and most classical pianist think Yamaha sound is trash, they prefer steinway, bluthner, last resort would be a yamaha. that goes to show that you can't choose based on what others think. I will have to go try this piano out my self and see how it feels.

    • @JbtheBoss1892
      @JbtheBoss1892 7 років тому

      impromptu hey.. I shouldn't have specified Yamaha in general.. but some of the models in Yamaha are good. I am a big fan of Yanni. Listen to him playing Felitsa song. It's a pure Bliss. The tonality of piano also depends on the type of wood and other materials used in making it also the cost. I said in general. I am not a experienced pianist like you. But I have been playing keyboard for 12 years and I have came across several brands like korg, Roland, Yamaha, etc... From that experience I said this piano sound is not even comparitive to the Roland Juno model...which is pretty good and inexpensive too

    • @rinoceronte1
      @rinoceronte1 7 років тому

      like i said, its a personal thing, thats why you have to go and try the piano yourself. every instrument will sound and feel different to each person.

    The manual is total rubbish and there is no way other than self experiment to learn in depth what this instrument does.
