Given that Certainties wants their panels hung with nails, did you have any issues with the screws grabbing at the panels and preventing proper expansion and contraction.

Great question. I preferred screws partly for this reason. I was able to gradually install them so that they did not compress the insulation or tab and left the panel able to wiggle. If we had one overdrive I just backed it out some. It has also been great when I had to replace or remove panels for various reasons. In case you are wondering about performance, we just finished experiencing hurricane Milton just outside the eye wall and I don't have any panels damaged or pulled loose. It held up well. Hope this helps.
Here is installation manual details: If screws are used, use non-corrosive, self-tapping, pan head or washer head screws or oval head with countersunk washer screws with at least 5/16" diameter head, 1/8" (3mm) diameter
shaft, and at least 1-1/8" (29mm) long.

What color is the siding? Nice color we are trying to pick out colors now. Going between a blue or gray color.

It was labeled Flagstone. Turns out, it's almost a direct match of the basic Rustoleum Gray Primer. We chose this in case it does fade, we wouldn't likely notice it as much.

Hello there. We have a large house in the country with cedar siding falling off. Contractor keeps wanting me to decide between double 4 or 5. Would rather have the single 7 or double 6 as I think on a bigger home will look much better. Would you agree? Also, is there a big price difference? I would assume as insulated….love your work thanks

Hi Chad and thanks for the compliment. We had the exact same thoughts. We have some large walls so didn't want to go with the doubles which limited our choices for suppliers. We chose single 7 insulated mostly for durability and it was advertised as a premium siding although time will tell. I don't recall the exact cost but it was around $1.65/sqft for the insulated XL (longer length) siding. Installation was pretty easy one you get the hang of it and the materials is relatively light compared to alternatives. Let me know if you have any other questions and I'd be happy to answer the best I can.
