The Bad
-Average PCVR headset
-Data rate capped at 2.5Gbps (burry/compressed image sometimes)
-Oculus discontinues replacement parts after a few years

-Most affordable headset. 300$ standalone & PCVR headset
-Resident Evil 4 VR exclusive
-Low spec. Good for low end systems
-Wireless or wired PC connection

You're definitely the best helicopter pilot in all of War Thunder.

I saw an AH-1 up close IRL as a kid and I was shocked how THIN they are! Tiny canopy, too! I estimate the canopy is no more than 2 inches from your shoulders in those

I wish they'd give us full control of weapon systems like the rocket pods. So you can select one pod at a time. Left inner, right inner, right outer, then empty. Because when you're runnin 3 pods and a gun or missiles, i always forget until one side is out, that i have to aim with the other side entirely

Originally I thought the cabling inside the cockpit plexiglass was det cord for aiding in jettisoning the cockpit like in fixed wing aircraft, but looking it up it's actually the homing antenna, which is used with the AH-1G's FM radio to set course towards marker beacons

Hey, fly French tiger. Amazing Heli. Having blast with it. 0 death experience I call it. 4-5 tank + points and some air targets. Amazing feeling to flying it low, super agile.

I recently got Israels heli, so I've been having to relearn how to fly them (I'm used to early russian ATGM platforms), and my god, after some trial and error, rockets are so fun!

Sometimes, but I couldn't tell if that was my issue or war thunders.
Ive never seen an ah1g get more than a kill let alone live and restock weapons

Stay low, and learn how to fire the rockets at long ranges.

Hi bruce, so you too your rocket pod of the AH 1G don’t detach when u have no more rocket, i don’t know why that don’t work but i do a report cause that fck aerodynamic and add more weight.

Is there any way to have that flight model on the helicopter using the standard mode with keyboard and mouse? because personally, I can't afford a VR headset or a HOTAS-type simulator controller yet, and I would really like to be able to use the helicopters as agilely as you show in the videos.

Hi Bruce, I am planning to buy Logitech G X56 H.O.T.A.S. but wanna get your opinion first. Could you tell me what you think about it?
It looks like a very solid stick for DCS and non-VR users. The only thing I was concerned with was the amount of Hat switches. For me, I felt I would get confused in VR, and my thumb is so big I would probably accidentally press a wrong button. It was also a bit outa my price range when I was replaceing my broken HOTAS last year. I can't really say anymore than that without trying one myself

If only playing War Thunder wasn't like working a second job just to enjoy the vehicle I want to use. Unfortunately Gaijin is very greedy, resulting in me freeing up some space for more DCS stuffs. Hope the snail dies
