Deandre kane looks so much like kobe bryant in these high lights. He doesn't have crazy athletic ability or speed but strenght size and iq and taking over the game is his strenght
I think you're comparing Kane here to PRESENT-DAY Kobe. Prime Kobe was a top 5% athlete in the NBA, incredibly quick and was an elite defensive presence
He reminds me more of Dwayne Wade actually, fluid athlete, similar build. Not saying he IS Dwayne Wade, that's just who my brain associates him with first.

If he had more athletic abilities, he would've made the draft impossible to go unnoticed. I think he has athleticism but doesn't know how to use his body properly. I can see that in this video when he dunks the ball awkwardly (due to a previous injury maybe??). If he learns it, he may well go beyond the pine. But can he develop at his age? I like his ability to score inside and rebound; but wonder how strong/weak his defense and shooting game is. Beside his age, I feel this guy has way more upside than LaQuinton Ross does.
