+cookieaddictions It wasn't technically 'from' Lion King 2.. It came out on the second soundtrack to the original Lion King called Rhythm of the Pridelands. Then they decided to use it as the intro to the second one. ;)

I listened to this song so much when I was younger...I like that you went with a darker feel for the first part, and I smiled so hard when it got to the main part. Always hitting me in the nostalgia feels, time to go buy this album

You know what I love about the song? If you replace Mufasa with a religious idol like Jesus or Moses, or a person you loved that died like your grandmother or grandfather, or a person that basically represents a country that died like George Washington or Nelson Mandela, the message will still stay the same. Even though they are gone now, they still live in you.

I don't remember anything from the second movie but this is my favorite Lion King song. Well technically it's the reprise. My favorite Lion King song is "They Live In You" from the play. It's the scene where Mufasa is telling Simba about how the great kings of the past are watching over us. Later on in the play when adult Simba meets Rafiki and sees Mufasa in the sky Rafiki sings "He Lives In You". If you wanna see an awesome rendition of this song that's not of rock genre look for Alex Boye's rendition of "Circle Of Life". He starts off with that song and it leads into "He Lives In You". The scenery in that video is also beautiful because he shot it on location in Africa. Anyway, awesome job as usual Jon !!!!!!!!!

I just wanted to say the covers that you've done for a lot of the Disney songs especially the ones I grew up with you made me fall back in love with and I also want to say the crew that you work with is awesome and you guys should keep doing what you're doing people our age who grew up with these kind of songs and you turning around and adding a twist to some of these that most people would've never thought of doing you're bringing back The feelings that we had growing up and knowing that there's people our age who enjoys them enough to turn around and bring them fourth and bring them into a new light is amazing all I can say is keep doing what you guys are doing.

I realised not too long ago after an English Literature lesson in school that in the first Lion King movie when Scar takes over and everything becomes barren and wasted, it follows the old belief of the Ancient Right of Kings (I may have that name slightly wrong but it's something along those lines.) I was so mind blown when I realised that.
