Nice. I'm thinking those bolts might be loose in my car but wasn't sure how much work was involved until I saw this video. Looks like a straightforward process to gain access 👍

Yup! As far as jobs on a car go, especially windows, this one isn't too bad at all.

Are you referring to the piece on the rear side door that doesn’t move?

What about the rear driver's side door window? It doesn't seem to be as simple. Is that why there are zero videos on this topic?

Hey thanks for the comment! Ya I’m not sure why there aren’t more videos, maybe the front doors see more wear and tear so they break more often🤷🏼‍♂️. Either way just by looking at pictures they seem pretty similar…but I wasn’t 100% sure so I just looked up work instructions.
Looks like the rear door is basically the same procedure as the front with one BIG difference. On the rear door the smaller glass comes out first. So window rolled down, door panel off, plastic cover peels up. Then 3 screws hold in that black window divider (called a Partition Sash). Slide the divider out, slide the small glass out. Then release the big glass from the regulator and slide it out.
so overall very similar except the order in which the small and big glass come out are reversed.

@@ImperiumRacing That makes sense. Someone broke in last night. It's 14 degrees out and I'm without garage. I've changed the front one before and thought it would be the same but didn't pull the rear quarter out. I found two screws for the partition sash so I'll look for a 3rd now. Thanks a ton.

@@aaronking1615 Ahh damn, that's no good! We had to do our scion tc window video because of a break in. You had the main glass break or the small glass?
ya no problem! And the picture shows 3 screws(if it's correct), looks like the one on top (might be hidden under the seal, one near the bottom (behind door panel), and another right below the window opening( also likely behind the door panel).

Pro tip: use a razor to cut through the black goo.

I like this idea!! Every time I deal with this goo, it’s been just long enough for me to forget how MESSY it is 😂

I had a huge mess the first time I ripped off the polyethene to replace my side mirror. It gets everywhere and is extremely hard to clean. Then I saw someone on UA-cam use a razor to ‘cut’ through it. I tried it while replacing the glass on a new door and I have never looked back.
