You also mentioned Rogue and Carol’s rivalry (all past now thank God) but .. Carol never fought Rogue to death. Rogue never wanted to hold Carol that long. Carol was Ms Marvel an Avenger. Rogue was young and unexperienced and didn’t know how to control her power. Carol lost her memory and all the emotional links to them. Thanks to Prof X she could restore most of her memories but the emotional links were damaged for years. That incident made Carol VERY close to the X-Men. Basically an honorary member and defender of the mutant cause (in many occasions later on she stood up for the mutant race and even recently against Orchis.) that incident also made Carol one of the most powerful beings as Binary, more powerful than she was before as her Kree-Human hybrid DNA was elevated to MAXIMUM levels by the Brood, she become more powerful than Mar-Vell ever was and made Rogue became a hero. Shes asked herself many times if shed become a hero without Carol's psyche in her mind. its all past now, they've already said how they admire and respect each other. its sad whr. people use this moment important for both of them, as an attack, when both were victims.. Carol victim of an attack by someone new and Anna Marie a victim of Mystique. 🥴

I was hoping that Marvel would change that fact that Wanda/Pietro actually are mutants and his biological kids. Only because it seems the changed was due to REAL LIFE POLITICS amongst creators and companies. Its a simple fix.
Every character has their moment of being miswritten and Carol’s was in CWII. Her solo was pretty great but rhe main event was rushed and put her in a bad position, out of her character. I’m proud to say that Mackay is here, NAILING her voice! Since issue #1 - with her motivations for her team, not being cops. Addressing her past problem with alcohol, also her being so close with the mutants -like she’s always been. He portrays her impressive leadership skills (with even Wanda and Ororo praising her dynamics) but also shows her very human (and I identify a lot with it) impulsiveness and stubbornness to balance that out. Her team feels much more of a family than just colleagues United. And you’re right, we all loose when heroes fight. Fandoms fight, it’s inferno! But when Carol wants the X-Men to be closer to them is BEAUTIFUL MAN.

I'm seeing Charles Xavier's Dream of human and mutant coexistence like the X-Men team up with non mutant superheroes like Spider Man who have no prejudge to mutants,Fantastic Four(reed and sue’s son Franklin who is an mutant),Black Panther who is married to Storm, and the Avengers and while seeing Magento's plans of mutant freedom and liberation like having independent mutant only sovereign nations like Genosha,Asteroid M,Utopia, and Krakoa.
... I still say that having Magneto's children not be his biological children and making up that convoluted backstory was a dumb idea for the comics. I don't know whose idea was it to come up with that ? But they need to be dropkicked for it. Anyway, I think the X-Men comic should touch more on discrimination because that's what they were supposed to do in the first place. That comic is supposed to be a commentary on discrimination and bigotry... Anyone else arguing otherwise is acting in bad faith. I just hope the topic of intersectionality gets handled well.

I would have rathered seen both teams get together, gather other teams like Rogues Uncanny X-Men and Captain America’s’ Avengers Assemble teams, Thor etc and head off to help Phoenix (Jean Grey) against Thanos and the Dark Gods.

Carol is good at leading the Avengers because she has connections with a bunch of comics characters over her history and these connections come in handy. Also the reason why everyone was so conflicted with Rogue joining the X-Men (out of desperation), Chris Claremont had woven Carol into the background of the X-Men during the time and they cared about her. Her being in a coma for a...really long time after bothered them. Good storytelling folks.

I think Avengers #21 with Avengers vs. X-Men Baseball game is a Christmas issue with Avengers and X-Men having (Christmas) dinner and make them friends. I think Avengers and X-Men is officially no longer a rivalry affair. This is a big status quo change for these two teams. The X-Men side is now focusing on post Krakoa with X-Men fighting each other and Professor X got escaped from Graymalkin Prison in X-Manhunt, meanwhile on the Avengers side, Avengers are still united together facing new threats that no hero could handle alone, now the Avengers expands its main Avengers team continuing the search for the Missing Moment, the Avengers Emergency Response Squad expands post-Avengers Assemble Miniseries in Astonishing Avengers Infinity Comic, and facing new threats like Doctor Doom in One World Under Doom. Jed MacKay nails it. Edit: btw, Avengers and X-Men now counts on each other as allies when the next Tribulation Event comes to rear its heads.

Why fight the enemy? Becauae the X-Men/Mutants have been treated abysmally. The Avengers have never really fundamentally had the mutants back a 100%. Its always the mutants that are seen as second tier characters. And that is a false image. Mutants are the Avengers equal, if not, better. Krakoa proved that.
