It's so sad that these young men really believe selling drugs, getting money through selling drugs, carrying guns etc is the way of life they should live. This young man has literally thrown his life away for nothing. Instead of trying to make a life for himself he decided to follow these movie characters rappers etc.

I think drug dealers are heroes just as much as cops.. they're doing a service for people. Davis their lives on all sides and rest their freedom to make a few dollars and do a service that people need. They risk getting counterfeit money they risk getting robbed they risk getting arrested they risk getting burned they risk getting

I was just about to say it’s the rap music. They glorify this lifestyle and make it seem as though it pays to participate in the most dumbest of things like gang banging, robbing, and killing. I blame the whole genre. Also, Lucifer was in charge of the music in Heaven and created the most beautiful melodies. As Satan, he knows exactly what he’s doing. It’s a spirit behind this type of music and Satan is the musician behind it all. EPHESIANS 6:12

I retired from the sheriffs department after 25 years of service. I have seen good cops that would do whatever it took to get the job done.... honestly. I have seen bad cops that were fired or put in jail. The police officer that made an impact statement in reference to the shooting death of his partner and the injury he sustained as well was very touching. You can tell he is having nightmares and is probably on the verge of having ptsd. People are always going to be opinionated but when it comes down to it..... they have no idea what true and honest cops go through. I am sorry for your loss my friend.

Lionel Jackson Are you in law enforcement? I understand there are bad and even evil people in this world, but what happened here is different. And..... you do not have to tell me about bad cops.... I have watched cops get arrested and put in jail & I have observed three put in federal prison. In my 25 years I never once used my place of employment to obtain a better life, specifically a lifestyle. This is something that I always believed in..... no one is above the law and I mean ...NO ONE !!!!! It sounds to me like you were screwed over by someone wearing a badge.

Cops are human, the good guys get bullied by the bad cops. Most Bad cops become bad because of seeing the same crimes in the same neighborhoods over and over and over again. With the suspect always saying 'man I didn't do nothing, I want a lawyer' or being verbally abusive to the young cop. So, I get it life for big city cop isn't a picnic. They need to be moved around to keep them sane and be given time off to speak with a mental health professional. And be able to grade the professional if they are useless in dealing with PTSD.

I'm not impressed! Teenagers with little experience and training have been drafted against their will and sent to fight and die on battlefields. I'm sure they all "feared for their lives". Cops aren't drafted! They choose law enforcement as a career. I'm sick of hearing about how difficult their job is. We don't hear Fireman always crying and whining about how hard and dangerous their job is. They do their job and take the risk. I have great respect for Fireman. I have no respect for cry babies.

It was not the car he was LOOKING for and he struck the young man three times in the back. One of those bullets lodged in his brain. And he got off with Three years. So help me understand why a Grand Jury bound him over for first degree murder yet he got Only three years!!! Pastor C Hope Kizer Smith

What is this "US Law" you speak of?
This was a State offense, not a federal one. If it had been a federal offense, he would have been tried in Federal Court.
Each state sets its own criminal laws. That's why not all states have capital punishment, and not all states have the same criteria for degrees of murder. It's why marijuana possession is a serious felony in some states, but totally legal in others.
It's why some states only require one party's consent to record a phone call and others require both parties.
Basically, I'm saying don't assume that there is a national sentencing standard, because there isn't.

I noticed that, after the accused has been brought into court, it took a full five minutes before anything happened. Now five minutes might not seem very long , but multiply it by , for example, the number of officers standing in the court gazing into space. If this happens in all courts regularly , it must be costing the US taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars year on year.

You can put a stop to those people stopping by as well. The traffic in and out of your place is what draws attention and the bad influence causes neighbors to call on you. Weed dealers aren't likely to drive $$$ cars and wave around wads of cash unless moving a ton a year. Dude was a simp.
