LAFD Marine Operations: Diver Training

In 2021, the LAFD celebrated the successful completion of diver training for 10 firefighters. This was the first time in almost 15 years new divers joined the Marine Operations. The training is difficult and technical. The video shows an overview of the skills they had to master.

Excellent! The Olympic still looks good after all these years. I haven’t dove it since 1978. The harbor water is looking fairly clear too. Kudos to all.

:34 "Since 1542...?!?" City of Los Angeles didn't come to be until 1881. LAFD was "Founded in 1886." ITS ONLY WRITTEN ON THE DEPARTMENT SEAL/ LOGO, CLEAR AS DAY. Someone didn't do their research/fact checking, before posting this video.
