Changing Lives with Employment: Down Syndrome Innovations & the Kansas City Chiefs!

Thanks to a collaboration between Down Syndrome Innovations and the Kansas City Chiefs, there are now 12 adults with Down syndrome employed as event staff on the CommunityAmerica Club Level! After employing two individuals with Down syndrome in the 2021 season, the Chiefs decided it was such a mutually beneficial experience that they asked us to help recruit 10 more employees with Down syndrome for the 2022 season!
Amanda Myers, CESP, Employment Coordinator at Down Syndrome Innovations, worked closely with the Chiefs to recruit and train these individuals, while also offering guidance to gameday staff about working with people who have diverse abilities.
