This is the nineteenth video in my '"An Inspector Calls" GCSE English Literature Revision' series!
In this video, I turn my attention to the theme of guilt. I discuss what I mean by this and provide some synonyms for it too, which should hopefully help you to avoid freezing or freaking out in your exams! As ever, I analyse some quotations for you and also discuss why Priestley might have chosen to have made guilt a theme in his play. I also complete quite a bit of verbal analysis in this video, so much sure that you're listening and that you have a pen and paper to hand!

Thanks to my amazingly talented friend Charlie for creating my channel icon, banner, and watermark! You can find more examples of his phenomenal work here: charlielanebus...
Thank you so much for making these videos! Your videos have assisted me in annotating my annotation-friendly An Inspector Calls book and create flashcards on study pod. You and this other guy on UA-cam (Mark Birch) are the best and most helpful english teachers I've ever had. Yet again, thank you so much!!! :D
this was extremely helpful but just to point out - for the slide with Priestley's intentions: I think the second point is supposed to be 'Demonises those who do not show remorse' rather than 'who do show remorse' as it says on the slide 'who do show remorse' :)
Thanks for the comment! And it seems you are correct - sadly there's no way for me to correct that (minor but also quite large!) mistake now, so at least learn from my error and remember to always properly proof read your work!
This guy is great. I want to have a beer with him 🤣 thanks

Thank you - great video!
can you do a video on capitalism vs socialism please
hi dystopia junkie I love u thx for all the help
Can you make top 10 edna quotes
edna doesnt really have important quotes that you can analysis. apart from maybe 'please sir an inspector called' it shows the the inspector gave edna the voice. and that the inspector is the morally compass that works to give the working class a louder voice in the capitalist world
lmao, she doesn't even say 10 lines.
YOU HAVE HAIR :D
