Hey, Hawkins, it’s great 👍 to see you having such a grand adventure in the aviary seeing all sorts of birds that are not native to Utah, nor the United States 🇺🇸 😃😃😃😃😃😃. Unfortunately, Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR does NOT have Hummingbirds, but we have only one species of Fork-tailed Sunbird. It does, however, hover for a while to seek out sweet nectar flowers from the Bauhinia trees which blooms in the spring. It also seeks out other sweet-smelling flowering plants that are high up in the trees and dense foliages making photo-taking impossible but I can only hear 👂 them. Only once in a blue moon 🌑 do I get a chance to photograph these magnificent birds.
Just returned last night from a trip to the Caribbean side of Nicaragua. Saw a handful of cool birds. Lots of black vultures. I try to not get more excited about birds just because they’re large, but, it’s fun when big birds are everywhere. Hundreds and hundreds of them. Pretty cool.
There is definitely something about seeing a huge bird that has you in awe. It’s funny because I was looking for the smallest bird we have in this video 😂
Wowwww! VIP badge haha! Love that place. The bird I liked watching the most was the Toco Toucan! I want to go see toucans in the wild so bad! Someday maybe we can do it together! INCREDIBLE VIDEO, the editing was phenomenal!
I went back and forth on this honestly but I really do think the aviary has built some good habitats and a lot of the birds were born into captivity and are used to it. They wouldn’t survive in the wild
I ❤ humming birds!!
Very nice, great job😎

Never heard of such a bird thanks for enlightening me! Seems like a super cool species
We also have Sunbirds here in South Africa. They look similar to hummingbirds but are far from related
Sooooo nostalgic. I haven't been since 2014, takes me back to high school - thanks for showing!
Sounds like it’s time to go back! I know they made some additions since 2014 too
Hey! I'm a beginner birder as well. Great video! Greetings from Brasil!
Hope your journey into birding is just as fun as mine has been!
AN OWL FOREST?! Now we're talking! 😀 Lovely video Hawkin, looks like an awesome place, thanks for taking us round with you!
Was so fun to walk around the aviary and film all the birds. If only it was that easy finding owls in the wild haha. Glad you enjoyed!!!

Congrats on your lifer Calliope hummingbird. I've only seen a ruby-throated hummingbird, but I hope to see more hummingbirds someday.
You must be out east then? My parents really only get Ruby-throated hummingbirds as well. There’s much more of a variety here out west!
Enjoying watching your journey man :)
Thank you!

Getting to see toucans in the wild would be insane! Thanks for the kind words
Fantastic video! Really enjoying watching your journey !!!
Thank you! Means a lot
Some birds are from India and common in mid urban area and wild. Let me know when you come here. Will show all of them 😊
Thanks for the insight! It’s cool to learn more about some of these international birds I’m unfamiliar with
Favorite has to be the Toco Toucan
Hard to argue with that
I just feel bad for caged birds/animals. Congrats on your Calliope!
