- Something bit my leg! It's gone all red, stingy and itchy. I head down to the pharmacist for them to take a look. I have a HUGE ASDA food shopping delivery and do a much-requested food shopping haul segment. I split this vlog over two days, and on day two I go to visit my dad two weeks and two days after his hip replacement surgery. He is having a go with the 'sock-aid' device. Will he manage to get his socks on unaided?!?

Imo is a flautist/flutist (flute player), and these vlogs will often take you behind the scenes of the life of a professional folk musician. Stand by for bits and bobs of live folk music and dance as they pop up in our day-to-day lives.
These videos will not generally feature recorded background music, making them extra suitable for people who aren't keen on pop music!
Follow this channel for daily-life vlogs (6 days a week, usually), content relating to the flute, travel (particularly to Lisbon, Portugal), folk musician lifestyle, and to see what life is like for this little family in our corner of South Wales in the UK.

Anthisan is an antihistamine cream which I always have in the first aid box as well as Piriton tablets. When I had a nasty bite awhile ago a pharmacist told me to use both together and it worked quickly.🇬🇧
I've had loads bigger than than that suda cream works everytime ice packs too
Well done Dad. Lovely to hear he is mobile!
Brilliant dad putting his socks on glad he’s doing so well x
Glad to see your Dad's doing okay!
Lovely double vlog! 😍
I was asked to shop for an elderly neighbour this morning. A packet of chocolate digestives was 3.50 euro. That was in Supervalu, a big supermarket chain here in Ireland. Needless to say, I walked out, the prices were mad. I went to our local Aldi and there the biscuits were 45 cent. Thank you Aldi.
Your bite on your leg looks sore imo .Hope it goes soon for you .Yes food shopping is going up ,it seems to go up everytime you shop .pleased to see your dad is doing well .Loved seeing him get his sock on ,he did well .🙂👍
Yikes, the bite almost looks like a spider bite. It's nice to see your dad is doing much better :o)
This may sound strange but for a bite I use well 2 things, 1, a wet teabag with a bit of baking soda, 2 a crushed up Ibuprofen a bit of water in to make a paste with a plaster over it, which works good for swelling. xx
Your vlogs are addictive! Ive already watched 10 in a row! I love your band life :) Subscribed! 🙂
Aw thanks so much!
Oh good. Glad the antihistamines are helping. I've found them really good for bites!
Horse fly bites Immo, I'm covered in them
I use a bit of sudacream and hold a few frozen peas on bites until the itching stops always works well then repeat if necessary.
so glad your dad's doing welll. x
Nice grocery haul. Amazing how prices are inching up weekly. We are really noticing it too. So thankful that we can still afford groceries. Your dad had more patience that I would have with that sock helper.. it would have been flying out of the door... hahahaha.. Good idea though to have. My dad had one also but was a different design.. it was such a big help for him.
Are you all right, imo? 🙏🏾 that’s a bad bit
Seems like the heat of the summer let insects get out of control. So glad it is improving. Your train rides are a bit of adventure when something goes awry.
I've not seen those cheddars before
OMG 😱 Three of those!!!!
I’m glad the throat one didn’t go the way of the leg!!! Eeek.
I love stewed apples!!
😆 that looks really dodgy, that sock thing 😆
Looking at your thumbnail, at first I thought you'd had a tattoo gone wrong! 😆👍 Oooohhh insect bites are never nice!
That's a healthy shopping order, love them mushrooms, always great in a curry! We have noticed the price of food, drinks etc has all gone up, blooming inflation!
Good for your dad!!!! 🚶🚶🚶🚶
Glad your leg is better put vinegar on plaster next time stops the itching sock aid was good great invention great vid imo as always donny x
Do you have poisonous spiders in the UK? If it gets worse, you definitely want to see the Doctor. It appears to be getting better at the end. Glad to see your Dad doing so well.
I would say antihistamines is the first port of call. That's what I tend to start with!
Hi lmo. Your bite looks very painful. Go to the Chemist they will sort it out for you. Hope your feeling better soon ! Good job on dad. Putting his sock on with an Aid helper. I had one. Years ago when I had Spine problem. They are very good to use. Takes a couple of Trys. But gets their in the end . Enjoyed your shopping hauls. What is the Spaghetti like in the yellow Asda box's ? Don't mind me asking you. Luckily you didn't go into the toilet on the train. I'd be like you and keep it in. Until you got to your mum's house LoL 😂. Have a lovely evening Maria 💗 xx
I'm almost vegan now and my favourite sausages are Richmond meat free. The frozen are cheaper than the fresh. I love oat milk but Shelley prefers soya. Hope your leg is better soon, that's a really nasty bite. Your dad looks well after his op. Love to Izzy x
Oh, my DEAR!!!!! Poor thing!!!! Was it a 🕷️ bite? 🥺💗
Dunno! Assuming a mosquito.
ouch! That is one nasty bug bite! Have you checked if you can shoot spider webs from your hands and climb up walls? :)
I am so sorry to hear you've been bitten! Were you walking in deep grass, or did it happen over night at home? This is the season for the spiders and bugs to come inside. I've been spritzing the nooks and crannies of my house with either peppermint oil or perfume and dit seems like it helps discourage them. perhaps some ice would help the iching.
I have greasy hair so tend to eash every other day or third sometimes. I discovered superdrug tricology shampoo/conditioner and tonic and its hekped with my irritaed scalp and my hair isn't as greasy which is so lovely! Also gets greasy quicker if i wash in the bath rather than shower so not sure if that would help you.
I have reactions to mosquito bites etc like that, so bloody itchy! Feel for you! X
Just realised this vlog is a year old 😂 sorry!
Still relevant, though! I still have greasy hair 😆 Thanks
I would definitely get that looked at in case it is a bulls eye rash. Lyme disease. Have you been walking through long grass? The problem is Lyme Disease is very badly diagnosed and treated in this country. Personally I'd get on the antibiotics asap
Having said that horse fly bites can produce horrible reactions like that
That's a nasty bite! I get a reaction exactly like that from horsefly bites so always take anti histamines straight away and use 1% hydrocortisone cream. Works wonders for me.
I have to wash my hair every other day too.
Oh my goodness! That’s a nasty bite 😳
I had the same kinda bite last year, took about to weeks to fully go , check out asda rewards, i have already got £7 in my cash pot which im saving for xmas shop at asda x
Aldi do their own brand of sugar free Fanta, it is £1.39 for 6 cans and honestly you would think it is the branded version, so a big price difference on the branded Fanta 😊
Youre right not to mess with the toilet door, can't take the chance of it not opening and trapping you in there - stuck in the loo for eternity, that's a fate worse than death :)
How is u dad
He’s good, thanks. 😊
Are you allergic to plasters? Or it could just be the bite
My daughter in law works for a fruit processing plant that processes blueberries for Dole. She brought me a 30 pound box of amazing huge blueberries that have been flash frozen. I gave several pounds away to my friends and neighbours in the in the complex. Nice thing is I don't have to pay for them. This morning I made blueberry pancakes for the g'kids. Soooo good.
LOL. What ever happened to a simple door with a latch!!!!!????? Over-reliance on electric mumbo jumbo, been saying it for decades and no-one listens!
Try not to keep touching it ..
Hi your bite looks like a Horse Fly bite
I wonder if you get bitten by horse flies? They can give a really nasty bite...
Hi I'mmo that looks a nasty bite looks like a spider bite keep a eye on it.
It’s all better now, thankfully. Thanks, Julie! X
@@PlanetImo that's good.😊
