Looking great Kenneth. 👍 I have been looking for the Bunker Models Parts, but they are currently back ordered. Oh well, patients is part of the process.
Hi Kenneth. I have been looking forward to this build series, I have the BB-63 Very Fire kit 1:350 with Flyhawk upgrade set. I haven't ordered any the extra sets yet but will be when I start my build. Excellent work.
That’s quite a detail set. I’m really looking forward to watching your USS Missouri come together. I think I will be learning a lot. Thank you for putting in the effort to make the videos.
That is a gorgeous looking Hull Kenneth! Your modeling skills keep getting better. I started back working on my Corsair. I will send pictures soon. I very much look forward to the next Video on the Missouri. Thank you for the amazing videos. Have a great day my friend!
Hello Kenneth, amazing work on the hull. I have this Hobby Boss kit of "The Mighty 'Mo" on deck along with the same Pontos detail set. I have the Bofors and Oerlikons from 3D Wild on the way also, so I will definitely be following you on this build ! Looking forward to it all ! Take care and happy modeling !!
Quick question Kenneth about your waterfall paint booth- how much of a difference do you find it makes versus a "normal" paint booth with fumes? (Thinking about what difference it would make with the upcoming lacquer based acrylic fumes). Beautiful job with well thought out effects on the hull. Thanks for sharing 👍🐢☕
The waterfall doesn’t make a difference when it comes to the fumes. But it helps in terms of not clogging up the filter with overspray. Thanks, glad to hear that you think so 😀
Wonderful work! But I'm surprised why you didn't use the propellers from pontos? They are already painted, and the most important thing is that propellers in trumpet kit is wrong....They have the same direction.
Thanks Tony 😊 The reason is that the blades on the Pontos propellers are too thick in my opinion. So either the wrong direction or out of scale. Pick your poison 😉🤷♂️
Thanks for starting a new build. I like this 1:350 scale. It’s kind of a compromise, but I think it works out pretty well. I’ve only built one ship model, but you inspire me to do more!
@@davidhunt1947 Thanks! I agree, 1:350 is a good compromise, and is a scale that I like. You get the details, the parts are not too tiny, and the model isn't a monster that is hard to display afterwards. Great to hear that I inspire you, that makes the effort all worth while.
You are a very patient model builder. I was wondering, I saw that you painted where the main deck would have gone down. Do you then have to use CA glue to glue the main deck down since that space is painted or can use some other glue? If you use CA glue what type would you use the thin? the medium? the thick?
Thank you! It is a valid and good question; I am using Tamiya Extra Thin Cement to glue down the deck even if the side edges are painted. The cement will dissolve much of the paint, so you will still get a good bond. I have done this before without any problems. You could of course scrape off the paint in the areas where you are going to glue, but I don't see any issue with that in this regard at least. If the glue area was small I would reconsider.
Beautiful. I was thinking of getting some scale color paints but you say the customer service is not good, thats a bit of a problem when you have to get it shipped over from the US. Im having the same customer service problem with a hobby shop in Sweden, i ordered a hold n fold bending tools that was in stock but now is not and has to be ordered from US but have had no contact from the hobby shop to say weather or not it has been ordered.☹️
@NorwegianModellingBench my i ask what the problem was? How was the delivery did everything arrive safe, and sound and what was the freight charge, if you don't mind telling me, if you would rather do it in private i could send my email address your email
@@NorwegianModellingBench You should try tru-color paint. They are solvent based paints and airbrush better than scalecolors imo. Their naval colors are spot on. I too had issues getting an order of scalecolor paint. I had to wait 3 months for my order to arrive. To be fair, the owner had surgery at the time but still the e-mail communication could have been better..
Really nice start, looking forward to more
Thanks 😊 The “worst” thing is that the nice colors and shadings don’t really show on the video.
Looking great Kenneth. 👍 I have been looking for the Bunker Models Parts, but they are currently back ordered. Oh well, patients is part of the process.
Thanks 😊 Definitely, I waited for over 2 months for mine 😉
Excellent stuff, Kenneth!!! That hull has a lot of great detail!
Thanks Ben, I surely appreciate it 😀

This is looking great so far. I really like those Scale Colors too, but I agree that the costumer service is nonexistent.
Thanks 😊 Yes it is a shame, the paints are of high quality.
Really good work! And thanks for the colours details and weathering effects details! Waiting for the next steps! Keep the good work!!
Thank you so much 😀

Great paintwork Kenneth

Another exciting build. The hull really good, great paint job.

Beautiful work as usual.
Thank you Walter 😊

Thanks!
Thank you for the support Ralph 🙏😊
Looking great Kenneth, can you tell us how many hours you spent working on the hull.
Thanks 😊 Around 20+ hours I would guess in pure work.

Hello Kenneth what type of dry transfer for the draft marking did you use?

first time watching, love the process, i truley don't mean any offense, but you sound like a stereotypical pilot with how you say "uhh"
