I especially respect it when someone from the fashion world, which is so vain and image conscious, is brave enough to be vulnerable and open like this about an issue most would be to afraid to share about.
Great video!. Sounds like we had a similar experience but mine was done using the DHI method. I flew to Hungary from Canada to have my HT done in January. I'm 3 weeks post op now and the dreaded shedding phase has started. I had 3000 grafts (1000 grafts per day over a 3 day period). The hardest part for me was the numbing injections. They were no joke, damn they hurt and after day 2 I was so irritated by the constant jabbing to keep it numb I didn't want to go back for day 3. I did of course but I REALLY didn't want to. 2 days after the procedure I had to fly back to Canada looking like Frankenstein. My forehead was swelled so much I could barely open my eyes and it looked liked somebody inserted a lemon under the skin between my eyes. I was a total mess. After 3 weeks the donor area is still pretty tender and the top of my head is still numb but getting better each day. I guess now we just sit and wait for the magic to happy. The confidence i've gained back already tells me every one of those miserable jabs of the numbing needles was worth it.
Aww been watching your videos for ages and I was like omg you never age, it’s great to see this process and I hope you recover fast, Day 3! Didn’t think that would happen, I’m sure it’s going to be worth it after it’s all healed up :)
Omg Congrats Joel! 🥳 This is major!!! I had some cosmetic surgery in my teens and am now in my 30s. It completely changed my life! So happy I did it and am elated for you too! Look forward to seeing your progression in the next few months/years.
Thank you!! makes me happy to know other peoples journeys have been successful too, it’s difficult to think about he future whilst I’m recovering but I know it will be worth it :)
It’s 100% worth the wait and uncomfortable nights in the beginning of your journey. In the long hall, the feeling you get in your “new” you is absolutely priceless! ☺️
Amazing results already. I was genuinely nervous before you went under the knife! I’ve had a lot of work on the face /head /hair in the past so can well sympathise! So amazing and brave of u to share such content but so glad u did - always like the vlogs u do to see what’s up in your life. May your recovery be swift! And the results are already really good ❤
I had the same thing done, but with the pen technique , results are more natural. I also swelled up to the point where my eyes were barely open. Best thing I did for myself. Be patient with the journey.
Amazing that you're sharing you journey!! I finally had some time to sit down and watch! also when scott questioned if it was 3 sprays on each area I was like omg me coded, bc I would've done way more sprays LOL! The swelling bit looked painful, but so glad it went away within a couple days! When you said the scabs were itching, I couldn't imagine not touching them or patting them how did you manage to survive that?!?!
Congrats on the transplant, look forward to seeing the results in 6-12 months! Out of curiosity, are you now taking minoxidil & finasteride? I'm also looking into a FUE transplant however I do not want to take the medication as from what I understand you need to take it for life, as if you stop you shed your progress? (The side effects I have read scare me, albeit I know everyone is different and a high proportion experience no side effects)!
Please please listen to this and do not try to paint me as some crazy nutjob. I have post finasteride syndrome from one single pill, it is absolutely poison for your body and not safe at all for anyone to take. People acting like it’s super rare to get don’t understand that the company that make these pills are under a lawsuit for faking test study results. My entire life has been taken away from me by one single pill, DO NOT TAKE IT.
thanks for your comment! I haven't started taking anything yet i talk about it more in depth in todays upload here ua-cam.com/video/4qUp5a4xPq4/v-deo.html
I never knew your hairline was pushed so far back, cool to see you super open about your hair transplant. Really curious for the 6-month results. Once I get comfortable financially, I want to get one done aswel!
I think i hid it very well and also I didn’t even realise how bad my hairline actually was until I shaved my head 😅! And ofcourse I will keep updating ! 🙌🏻 it’s not cheap but definitely a good investment in your own confidence :)
Last year I had cataract surgery on both eyes - first the right, a month off then the left … surgery was fast and only involved a local for each eye, but post-op was a month of eye drops - one antibiotic, one anti-inflammatory four times a day. So it was like lockdown whereby I sheltered in place, only leaving the house once a day to go to the supermarket for fresh food and a walk. So totally worth it for perfect vision but there were many days of bloodshot, swollen eyes … praying you have a sweet recovery and the result you want 🫶❤️😃
That sounds intense!! I know you feel my pain haha but yours was for longer than mine -so i think so i should suck it up !! It’s all worth it in the end :) Thanks for sharing 🫶🏻
i wanted to shave my head a couple weeks before the surgery so i could get used to having it :) also created lots of content around shaving my head so it actually earned me money 💡
